Anyone watching live? Wow, just wow.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 26-May-21 13:32:35

It would be astounding if there isn’t a huge element of revenge in Cummings testimony.

But ask yourself - is it true!

That is what is important, not motivation etc.

No good shooting the messenger - that doesn’t make sense.

Listen to the message!

IMO it doesn't matter if its revenge or not. If what he is saying is true then there has to be action. And as I said above, he is only saying what a lot of us could see was the case over the last 18 months.

No 10 was in chaos, the PM made terrible decisions.

No s*** Sherlock.

MayBee70 Wed 26-May-21 13:29:48

Of course it smacks of revenge. But that doesn’t mean that what he’s saying is untrue.

Busy this morning but listening to a little wonder if his recollections might be different if he hadn’t have been sacked

yup.

Most definitely his views would have been different. The whole thing smacks of revenge.

Boris called Covid ‘Kung Flu’ and wanted to be infected with it live on TV because he thought it wasn’t ‘real’ and then went on to say ‘well it’s only killing 80 year olds’!! Then there’s the ‘bodies’ piled high’ comment. What more is there to say ? We’d better pray that there’s some effective opposition by the time the next general election rolls around !!

This just reinforces what a self seeking and incompetent lot we have running the country. Cummings, Johnson, there’s nothing to choose between them. So depressing because as Whitewave says we have to live with government for another 3 or so years.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 26-May-21 13:20:25

The astounding and alarming thing is that there is clear evidence that there is still chaotic decisions being made. Just this week a number of Local Authorities found out about an apparent lockdown almost by default, only for this to be reversed today.

I recall it being that a buyer had been accepted then dropped for a buyer who stepped in with a higher offer. And it started, and spread like wildfire, in the 70s.

It matters not how academic Cummings is, nor how furious he is. What matters is the veracity of his evidence.

To dismiss Cummings out of hand would be both foolish, and to overlook potential evidence relating to our government’s chaotic and incompetence governance.

The nightmare is that we have to live with the government for another 3 or so years.

Kali2 Wed 26-May-21 12:52:21

Cummings said this morning 'Trump gazumped us on PPE'

isn't it exactly what Johnson did with the vaccines?

Polarbear2 Wed 26-May-21 12:48:35

Pinched from Twitter... “guessing Cummings is now an evening only invite to the wedding “ ???. Made my day.

Hell hath no fury like an academic sacked.

Cummings is about as academic as a bag of sugar.

*Because it’s all documented. We can make up our own minds.*

What do you mean by it's all documented, MayBee70?

Is this is all recorded on film? Audio?

Do we have actual evidence or is this just Dominic's assertions?

As has been mentioned earlier, there's not a huge amount being said that many weren't aware of.

I'm just finding it difficult to understand why anyone believes a word he says.

He'd be a useless witness in a court of law.

Hell hath no fury like a Dominic Cummings scorned.

He has notes on everything. And I believe tapes etc. Emails, texts. Hess saved everything. Just look at the notes he has with him.

One thing all middle civil servants will recognise is Cummings description of senior management in the civil service.

We all recognise Cummings description of the government.

No documentation needed for that.

However, undoubtedly Cummings will not be so stupid as to not have back up to his accusations.

Hey!

That was my line several days ago grin

Alegrias1 Wed 26-May-21 12:31:06

I believe the bits of what he says that agree with the evidence in front of our eyes for the last 18 months.

Do I believe that Johnson wanted to be injected with Coronavirus live on TV? Possibly, its the kind of thing he'd say. Does that matter? No.

What's important to me is that we have a government that is so dysfunctional that their former advisors appear on TV exposing their actual and fatal failings.

Anyone else expecting to see a message from Gove to Cummings in the next few days saying "Well done Dominic, our plan is working".

Excellent.

I'll leave you all to it now

Enjoy!

Ah. Now we adore and believe everything that Demonic man has to say.

Baffling!

He's kept a record? I trust it's recorded. I want to hear this stuff

Posters who were trashing Cummings just a few months ago are now thrilled with his comments.

We were always told that Cummings was leading the country. Boris was just his puppet.

And of course that marvellous testing his eyesight trip

But now he's trashing the government the left all love him!

This works both ways though Gannygangan Dominic Cummings had a lot of supporters on Gransnet when he took his 200 mile trip during a pandemic lockdown and when he tested his eyesight with a four year old in the car. His supporters on here believed him then, so why not believe him now.

I have never understood why anyone thought these people were electable.

MayBee70 Wed 26-May-21 12:25:44

Johnson’s answer to everything as usual ‘vaccine, vaccine vaccine.....’
