I've given up on this publisher. It's not usual for an author to write again, you just accept, if they don't get back to you, that the answer is 'no'. But after they'd read 3 chapters and asked for more, I was hopeful.
The Editor who did so is on paternity leave.
I submitted a story for an anthology called 'Flying Solo' to come out in 2024 and the editor said:
"I had a quick read of your story and think it’ll make a great addition to the anthology."
Does that sound as if it's been accepted? I can no longer tell.
Dgs is now arriving Saturday and staying until Monday, so I'll have to arrange his bedroom tomorrow.
Looking forward to discussions with him. Seems there's a BBC podcast series, 'Uncanny' which has peaked his interest.
