Oh, NotS how frustrating - I wonder why it happens? Because I have Word, I often do a post in that. It saves automatically so when I paste it here, if it's lost I just do it again - hee hee.

When you come to a Weaver's Knot ixion think of me in 1974, worling as a Spinner in a a South Island mill.
It's a knot that never comes undone and I still use when knitting my slippers and scarves.

Aatoa and I went to a family day yesterday. I painted stones for my mokos, sat in gloriously warm sunchines (sorry Grammaretto - we have it) and ate Mexican food, Matariki Star shortbread and had lots of fun.

Very unexpected visit from DS & his wee Boss today.

Coming for lunch, so I am doing the full Roast Pork Dinner, possibly even with Yorkshires and leek sauce. Goes without saying there'll be crumble and custard
I'll send some crackling home for DiL who loves it.

Actually Doodle I asked DS to bring dgs for the day but he's going to a friend's house.

I think we'll have our hands more than full with Gubbins who is, as the Yorkshire phrase goes 'wick'.

DS sent me a photo of one of those huge cones which revolve and dip in playgrounds. She's right at the top.

Excuse my ignorance, Grammaretto, but does that mean there are 50-odd kilns a-firing around your area or do you have such things as community kilns? Like the communal ovens my ancestors used to use and the laundries my great great grandmother used to run. I hope your depression has lifted. I bought a book on knotting, the sort of physical equivalent to the daily Wordle. See it as a vain attempt to keep the little grey cells ticking over.
We have accomplished 6 days, 6 different knots. Days 5 and 6 were reef and granny, so no great challenges as yet.
Today's is 'a simple plant holder'.🤔. DS departed smart-ish and said he would return tomorrow to inspect the 'bottle carrier' when both challenges were completed.
No stamina, these young people🤣

The exhibition celebrates 50years of the Scottish Potters Association so it is lots of us - about 50! I'm only putting in those few pots but delivering lots of other people's work as well. You are most welcome to come!

I'm so depressed today. It's still raining and those buckets are as full as ever. I feel sorry for my DD who is on holiday in the far north although maybe it's better there.
I also spoke to DS3 who didn't seem great. 😔 😟
I even feel sorry for my cousin who didn't expect Scotland to be so cold in Summer.

Nfk, it sounds like you found the perfect spot and conditions to scatter your DH's ashes, I'm pleased it was. A very peaceful way to lay your beloved to rest 💐.

It would be great if you can manage to visit your DS and DDiL in the Philippines NotSpaghetti 30 hour trip though 😬. My niece went there last summer when it was 80f+ 😬 and loved it 🤨 but I'm with you - much better idea to go when it's cooler.

I think the jigsaws were quite small Doodle. He was a child who had done them right way up so often, he recognised the shapes. Still, he is a clever clogs!
