New dishwasher arrived this afternoon. I think all our white goods had a pact to all pack up around the same time. Usual modern day story that it is cheaper to buy new than get a man in to buy new - rapidly being hard to find, we're told - parts and fit.

I paid through the nose for 'installation', along with removal of old appliance and packaging. Slightly nostalgic about all those years we had dragged old appliances to the car boot, scooted off to the tip and offloaded same with impunity.
