I had a message inviting me to book, I did and I’m grateful
Good Morning Saturday 6th June 2026
Last three letters contd - 2026
Churchill to be axed from British banknotes in the name of diversity.
I have just received an invitation book a covid booster. I've had each one offered since the start of the vaccination programme and I'm wondering whether to bother this time. Yes I'm elderly, but have no other particular risk factors. What are other people planning to do?
I had a message inviting me to book, I did and I’m grateful
I've booked mine. Never had any problem with covid or flu shots.

In Scotland NHS Inform mainly deliver the vaccinations at hubs. Surgeries here don't make anything from Covid vaccinations. However,I am unsure if there are exceptions in more remote areas.
NHS sends out invitations, not the surgery. You can then go online and change your appointment time or venue.
Much more efficient.
Had an email from the surgery but when I tried to book a slot was told they were all gone. Have not been able to find out whether there will be more offered. I believe in taking everything that’s offered but am obviously not quick enough on the uptake!
I can't believe some of you have had eight jabs, still get COVID and think that's ok! Glad I've never had one
I've had covid 3 times the first time I was seriously ill, second time very mild, 3td time unwell but not hospitalised.
I've had 10 doses so far and will take every one. I never want to feel like I did in 2021.
I am going to try and get moderna this time.
Intake every man offered to me. Never thought about v
income for my surgery. Double whammy.

I had chronic burping 1hr after AZ jab, put on diazepam, still on it, & still have chronic burping for hrs on end. The hospital can’t find anything wrong with my stomach. My friends husband has the same condition after the AZ jab.
I have “stabbing with a needle” type pain in my back, burning stabbing pain all through my left leg. (still have all these symptoms yrs later on & off. My Gp said never to have another AZ jab.. I think it was withdrawn not long after.
Waiting for my invitation - I'll be on the doorstep with my sleeve rolled up.
Providing that you haven't had any ill effects from previous vaccinations, it seems mad not to protect yourself as much as possible..!
I haven't heard from my GP yet, but I'l book an appointment when I do. I'm grateful for the opportunity.
Already booked. If it’s offered I’ll take it. We held back on the shingles vaccine until we had been away, but we had the RSV jab.
I'm always first in the queue for these - I have quite enough health problems without adding anything more.
Go for it. We've kept up with all the vaccine boosters without any problems. We had Covid once after the pandemic and the vaccine certainly kept it down to common cold level. What's not to like?
Yes Supertinny if you read my answers above you would see I very much considered that the vaccine helped me have a less problematic flu than if I d had none ✔️
I ll also repeat I m NOT anti vaccines and if I had underlying health problems I would have it ✔️
I m reasonably ok for my age and I ve willingly had every vaccine offered to me and followed all the Covid rules I m not a rebel in any way ✔️
I had no problems with any vaccines not even a sore arm but I don’t want a spring /summer vaccine I will have my winter ones when offered in the autumn ✔️
We are all allowed to make our own decisions and I m not trying to change anyone’s mind just saying what I feel is right for me
Everyone has to do what they think is best for themselves. I have a myriad of conditions so was extremely worried about both the virus and the vaccine. I have had 3 and suffered very scary aide effects. However my mother in law age 93 died last May a week after her booster. We were told by doctors it was "not uncommon " in the elderly. My oldest son developed a kidney blood clot after his vaccine. My youngest son spent nearly a year being treated for panic attacks. We went private and it was paroxysmal atrial fibrillation due to the vaccine. He needed a procedure to stop and restart his heart. We have also had cousins children in their 40s with sudden deaths after their vaccines. On the other hand, in the first wave of covid we lost 11 relatives to this virus though they were mainly old or had other conditions. Very difficult to make decisions!!
BlueBelle have you considered that the occasions where you contracted Covid that wasn't very bad 'just like a cold' was because you were vaccinated?
Why bother having the flu vaccine and not the Covid one?

AZ vaccine has been withdrawn from use. It's because its caused blood clots and serious side effects I think. Not 100% sure why but it's definitely been withdrawn
As someone, who is CEV, the first vaccine I had, was AZ. The side effects were awful and it had to be reported to the the Yellow Card site. It turned out, that contrary to what was advised initially, it was not suitable for those who are immunocompromised. It was given for the right reasons, to try and protect people like me.
However, it did not stop me having the subsequent vaccines I was offered, I have had every single one and will continue to do so.
I was advised I would die if I caught Covid and I would not be given a bed in ICU, to give younger, fitter people a chance.
I did eventually catch Covid from my asymptomatic granddaughter, however, I did not die, because the vaccines reduced the impact.
Why not look after your immune system instead of relying on the medical establishment to take over your body.
Undines, you obviously have no idea what being immunocompromised means. I do everything to improve my immune system, but without medical intervention, I would probably be dead by now.
Not only are you blunt, you are rude.
I am certainly not crazy and always research what medication is being given to me, before accepting treatment. How fortunate you are to enjoy a walk in the Cotswolds, with friends, who are in pink. Some of us can hardly walk the length of a room, not through any fault of our own.
Same as Bluebelle, not having the spring booster this time, but may have the winter one.

What were the side effects you experienced?
Sorry to be so blunt but you'd be CRAZY to have any more of that experimental stuff pumped into your body. Start looking at all the material available outside the mainstream media. The people I know who have had all the vaccines are ill all the time. Those unvaccinated are in the pink - I've been walking the Cotswolds today with three others, all in our 60's and 70's and unvaxed, talking about all the younger people we know who have been ill since Christmas. And what, exactly, do you need protecting from? Bubonic plague? Why not look after your immune system instead of relying on the medical establishment to take over your body. As an aside, Israel's poster child for the vaccine has just died from cardiac arrest, aged 8. Poor little boy. For goodness sake, what is it going to take for people to wake up???
I only had the first two, mainly because we were being told we wouldn't be able to go anywhere without them.
As far as I know I have not had Covid. I am a firm believer in building natural immunity if at all possible.
My OH has every jab going, he has had Covid at least twice. He has the flu jab every year and as soon as he has that he starts catching colds of varying degrees, you can bet he will be coughing and sneezing within days of having it!
Thankfully not heard anybody mention having Covid around here for months.
I still wear a mask when shopping.
Thanks Wheniwasyounger I just want to let my body do any work needed ‘for now’ I m lucky that I don’t have any immune deficiencies or major illnesses I m not anti vaccines and as I said I ve had them all up to now but now I m having a rest
I ll let you know how it goes
