Both my sister and GD have had it in the past few weeks. They live in different counties.

Sister was very poorly even with Spring booster

I know several people who had it in April, one took a couple of weeks to recover. I did read the the boosters had a negative effect on immunity.

One person.
Normally, once I heard of one, more would follow.
Not this time.

I know three people who have had it in the last week or so but they are all from the same family so I wouldn't call that a surge.

No, we aren’t currently in a surge - it comes and goes though.

A friends sister in law is in hospital after a fall and her ward is now closed because of covid so no visitors allowed.

Several friends of mine came back from Easter holidays with Covid. I hope there's not going to be a sudden surge because I haven't been able to have the latest booster as I still haven't got shot of Shingles.

Nothing around me, but we have all had our top up vaccinations.

It seems there is a sudden surge here in the south part of Australia. So many people I know seem to have the virus just now. One lady has been admitted to hospital and, believe it or not, they put her in a shared room at the private hospital with someone who hadn’t got it. I bet she does now ! Makes you wonder what they are thinking.
