A similar thought actually did cross my mind, Elegran, just before I posted about the missing 4%! grin

Elegran Mon 07-May-12 22:55:28

Maybe the other 4% were born under a wandering star anagram ? Maybe they are aliens born in another galaxy under other zodiacal systems ? If we are to start believing this astrological guff we might as well go the whole hog. As Specki says - STUPEFYING co-incidence.

Anagram Mon 07-May-12 22:17:41

I was only joking, Elegran. Of course it's not important!

Elegran Mon 07-May-12 21:45:48

You can prove anything with statistics. Or disprove anything.

jeni Mon 07-May-12 21:39:47

grinthere are fools, damm fools and staticiansgrin

Elegran Mon 07-May-12 21:24:59

No, that is wrong. I should have said 8.3 recurring %. Too late at night for this.

Elegran Mon 07-May-12 21:22:01

OK anagram if we are splitting hairs twelve and a half per cent of the population share each of our zodiac signs (approximately - I think the birth rate is not evenly distributed through the year - there are clusters nine months or so after Christmas/New Year and after the summer holidays)

But we are talking about astrology here, do accurate sums matter all that much?

Anagram Mon 07-May-12 17:53:29

What about the other 4%? grin

Elegran Mon 07-May-12 17:52:06

Specki Coincidences abound in the world of astrology. A staggering 8% of Gransnetters share your zodiac sign! shockAnd mine! grin

specki4eyes Mon 07-May-12 15:40:52

But the promoters ought to pay their advertising fees!

imjingl Fri 04-May-12 12:13:13

I wonder if Hindu grannies go in for this.

If they do, good luck to them. smile

I see the Medical Since thread has gone. Don't know why they bother posting on here.

Greatnan Fri 04-May-12 11:32:51

You have to get up early to fool a load of wily old grandparents!

jeni Fri 04-May-12 11:24:00

Elegran Fri 04-May-12 11:22:20

That is what I wondered. Can't see it being a ht with Gransnetters.

A peculiar (tosay the least) post on astrology has popped up again today, (about "scince" v astrology) from one of the posters on this thread, who, I notice, has mentioned a site. Could he/she be trying to promote something, do we think??

imjingl Fri 04-May-12 10:37:38

It looks so nice in 'tile'!

imjingl Fri 04-May-12 10:36:32

Busty piece, isn't she? Like me. smile

imjingl Fri 04-May-12 10:35:58

I'm having that as a screensaver.

On the Jonathan Cainer one he says for me:

"I have been talking about things you have to put up with, awkward situations that you must temporarily endure."

DH is decorating!!!

It works! shock
