I watched it but missed a chunk in the middle as I fell asleep (had GS for weekend and was on my knees by Sunday night!). Woke up in time for "Friends Romans countrymen"! I thought it was a refreshing production. I'm looking forward to 'The Hollow Crown' series on June 30th - Richard II, Henrys IV and V. I have never been inside the Globe - only seen the outside. It's on my bucket list!

Haven't had time to watch it yet but definately will. Has anyone been to the Globe? Quite fancy that but not sure I could stand for so long.

Did anybody see this last night on BBC4? It was truly excellent and being set in an unnamed black Africa country somehow made it all the more credible. The (archaic) language also sounded absolutely right and the end was very moving (I don't often cry at Shakespeare). It was partly filmed in the theatre and partly on location and blended seamlessly. Really really worth catching on BBCiPlayer or at the RSC if you are lucky
