I can't believe that Philip French has finally retired as the Observer's film critic, although I always knew this day would come. I have read his reviews for years and have been introduced by him to cinematic gems that I would otherwise have missed. As the years rolled by, I grew to know that if Philip thought a film was great, so would I. He is being replaced by Kermode who is younger, edgier but more importantly Not Philip. Thank you Philip for truly enriching my life.
De-cluttering, still at it, still no end
Should I have been a better person?
