Artistic scars?

I would have liked it better if he had found some older women as well as subjects for his mastectomy shots. These very young women are not typical. Nor are they the only kind of female beauty. I feel rather annoyed with the artist about this.
Strange combination isn't it - men get wounds from war and women get them from their reproductive organs. Suppose this has been true through history, as a wild generalisation.

I think there was another photographer who pursued this theme a few years ago.

The photography is excellent and the character of the subjects shines through.

Let us hope the likes of Obama will take a look at the returning soldier photos and think very hard before involving more young men and women in armed conflict.
