I was invited to see this just before the end of the current run and leapt at the chance as various friends had recommended. It's theatre with a difference - an interactive exploration of Wonderland (aka the vaults behind Waterloo station in London...but you very quickly forget that) in an hour-long journey in search of Alice.

The set is amazing - or should that be sets as you wander through scene after scene from the book, meeting characters along the way who help (or hinder) in your quest. Whether it's eating a sweet or drinking a potion to make you grow or shrink (so well done!), meeting Tweedledum and Tweedledee mid battle in their bedroom or avoiding the wrath of the Queen of Hearts as she tries to open door after door to get out of the room, the props, effects and atmosphere are absolutely brilliant. The finale is a Mad Hatter's tea party complete with jam tarts (yum) and soil and milk and madness. SUCH great fun: it's aimed at children aged 5-10 but there is no doubt that the accompanying adults enjoyed it every bit as much.

Can't recommend highly enough - and if you're anywhere near Waterloo when the next run begins borrow a GC and use them as an excuse to go take them along. More fun than any children's show I've seen in years.

I would love to go to that! Bit far from North Devon though sad
