Two of England's 100 top historically significant places are mentioned in this Historic England news article about Wirral.

The first one mentioned, Birkenhead Park, was inspirational for the design and planning of New York's Central Park, apparently.

Thanks for those CherryHatrick and the OP Baggs I wanted to read a whole list! I don't know if I can be bothered with a podcast. I do like to be able to look at something.
