I'm a total philistine, so if I play music at all (once a year if that) it's the old favourites such as Pavarotti's 'Nessun Dorma' and 'In the Depths of the Temple' from the Pearl Fishers and some Bach Cello pieces.
But in general music just annoys the heck out of me so I try to avoid it whenever possible - not easy when it's everywhere, even in the supermarket. 
Give me the spoken word any day.
