It was our 28th wedding anniversary yesterday and we went for a lovely curry followed by a production at our local theatre, starring Tracy-Ann Oberman as a female Shylock in London in 1936.

It was based around the 1936 “Battle of Cable Street”.

At the end of the very moving and well portrayed production Tracy-Ann addressed the audience explaining her great-grandmother was involved one The Cable Street Battle and helped prevent Mosely and his Blackshirts marching through this street which was the home for many orthodox Jewish families. A very thought provoking speech and production.

Cossy I am envious, I tried to persuade DH to go along to this, as it is local and easier than going into London.

He wasn’t sure and in the end said no. I was tempted to go in my own, and in hindsight that is what I should have done.

It has had tremendous reviews wherever it has been performed, pleased you enjoyed it 👍
