British Museum trying to raise funds of 3.5m to keep The Tudor Heart pendant from going to a private collection.

This beautiful pendant was found by a metal detectorist in a field in 2019. I find it quite shocking that something of such historic value should be on the open market and not automatically given to us all to enjoy in the British Museum.

I have to agree. Tudor history is fascinating and an important part of our history. So little has survived from that time.

I hope they can raise the money to save this for the nation.

Half of the proceeds would belong to the owner of the land too.
