That is my musical era - still in primary school at the start of the 70s and legally an adult before the end of the decade.
I loved most of the chart hits, from glam rock, through to country music, and most things in between..
Actually, I wasn't a fan of punk or Motown, but would always sing along to absolutely anything that was playing, even the stuff I didn't particularly like. I bought myself a little transistor radio when I was 12 and it went everywhere with me.
When Bohemian Rhapsody was released, it blew my mind, as it was so different from anything that came before it!
If I were to make a list of my personal top ten favourite songs of all times, it would still be on there. Others might be Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty and Music by John Miles, though in all honesty I think it would be very difficult not to extend the list from ten to at least a hundred.
