How can a composer respond to a global tragedy?
By writing music is the most obvious, and most beautiful thing.

I heard a stunning arrangement of A Ukrainian Prayer last night. It was composed by John Rutter at the beginning of the war, and he made the score free for the use of choirs worldwide. I think over 8000 have used it.

You can find a magnificent recording of Rutter's composition by Camerata Silesia on YouTube.

I live in Ukraine. In one hand - Russian invasion; in other hand - military manhunting in the streets of ukrainian cities and villages, when army tries to force the men to serve... horrible.
And western politics are blind about these kidnappings; they say that Ukraine is democracy. But in fact Zelensky is God-damned stupid druggy clown who could 1000 times to sign some peace deal, but he sends people to death on and on.
