golden well done at staying the same after all your celebrations.

I am copying your post onto this weeks thread, this thread is from September last year grin

GoldenGran Wed 21-Mar-12 09:04:36

I stayed the same, it was my DD's birthday in Monday, and my Dg, aged 6, and I put on a tea party for her. Need I say more.

GrannyK Fri 23-Sept-11 23:19:41

Brilliant idea , Sbagran ! Not taking laptop - I am on holiday after all - but will take your suggestion about rewarding myself for resisting the lure of the coffee shops . Will report back afterwards..... Thanks for support .

Sbagran Thu 22-Sept-11 19:47:11

Revis - you and I must have the same brand of scales - I hate that 12 number!!! Welcome Grumpy - traumas are so fattening and drag you right down but that is life. Welcome to the thread - I am only just over a week old in the GN Weigh in club and it has been great to get encouragement and to give it!
Good luck everyone! grin

glassortwo Thu 22-Sept-11 08:30:08

Grumpy great to have you join us, we are all here to support each other in any way we can. Welcome aboard smile

Grumpyoldwoman Wed 21-Sept-11 23:04:52

Would love to join all you successful slimmers.
I have put on 5 st in the past 10 yrs or so. I used to be a Slimming World consultant for a few years and really loved their plan.
I have been through a number of traumas in the past 10 yrs ..all resulting in such weight gain and me not really caring too much.
However this week ..something ''clicked'' and I am determined so started in earnest on Monday following the 'plan' again.
This will be as supportive as joining a class ...look forward to the weigh in on Monday .
Well done you ''losers'' xx grin

glassortwo Wed 21-Sept-11 22:34:11

Revis hope you enjoyed your weekend. Dont worry life is for living you cant have a weekend away and not indulge yourself a little. Start again now you are back and those scales will move in the right direction smile

Revis Wed 21-Sept-11 22:10:02

Put on a pound this week after another weekend away. I'm convinced my scales just will not go below 12 stone I'm sure someone has jammed them!

Sbagran Wed 21-Sept-11 21:01:21

Good luck grannyk - being on your own will make it tricky as there won't be anyone to distract you. Will you have your laptop? If so keep GN at hand for support! You CAN get through the temptations!
Another trick - take some £1 (or £2) coins with you and a spare purse. Every time you are strong willed enough NOT to have a slice of cake or another 'naughty' put the money you could have spent into the spare purse.
If you do succumb don't worry about it - move on - one slip doesn't lose the battle!
When you get home blow all the money in the purse on some perfume, jewellery or another 'no-calories' treat!
Good luck - we are behind you! grin

Wow golden 4lbs well done, hope your DH is on the mend, but running up and down those stairs has done the trick. wink

Well I have lost another 1lb so quite happy with that.

How's everyone else, all doing ok?

Notsogrand Wed 21-Sept-11 18:32:57

4 lbs Golden, that's amazing!

GoldenGran Wed 21-Sept-11 17:53:03

Lost the three pounds I put on last week plus one more. Am amazed as I have been looking after DH post operation, and have eaten a few home baked goodiesgrin. Must have been all the running up and downstairs with trays that did it. He is up and about now.

glassortwo Wed 21-Sept-11 16:58:34

GrannyK enjoy your trip, dont be too hard on yourself you have to enjoy life.
Annobel well done another 1lb.

Annobel Wed 21-Sept-11 15:11:40

GrannyK Wed 21-Sept-11 14:51:06

goldengirl Mon 19-Sept-11 16:56:40

You're not the only one lucid blush and I'm off to a conference tomorrow where they'll be even more nice food but I can't possibly be rude and refuse can I now? wink

The good news is that DH said I look as though I've lost weight, so who am I to argue? If the dress fits........

lucid Mon 19-Sept-11 14:45:28

Everyone has done so well this week....but I've put on another 1lb! sad My own fault as I've been eating comfort food all week - had a cold and needed food. Lettuce just doesn't appeal when you're feeling rotten. Anyway, it's a new week......
