Hope you have all been good grin while I was away.

I have gained a pound, which is not as bad as it could have been, it was a pretty stressy week. I ate half a banana loaf which I was about to throw in bin because it wasn't cooked in the middle, which in itself was not a surprise as after it had been in the oven for fifteen minutes, Iofound the flora unused on the side, not in the cake! Anyway , I have my resolve back and am moving on!

lucid, I'd been missing your posts. No doubt everything will fall gently back into place again, but in the meantime it's so difficult. Take care thanks.

Welcome granb we would love to have you join us, we will soon get you into your wet suit smile

This is the second time I have typed this and now I have forgotten what I had written. confused and no I have not had any wine. grin YET.

I put a thread up on a Monday and everyone posts there +/-, you dont at anytime have to reveal your weight unless you want to.

We all follow our own plans and get weighed at different times so the thread runs from Monday through until Sunday. We are all here to support each other and we have a bit of fun along the way but you have probably already noticed that, we are not experts but just help each other out.

The thread is here for you to have a moan or jump for joy, you can post any tips or recipes you have tried and want to pass on.

Sbagran Tue 21-Feb-12 17:44:00

Granb I am sure glass will welcome you herself but I am quite new to this thread as well having had a false start late last year.
Some of us do give our figures (numerically speaking of course) but you certainly don't have to.
Personally I have a regular routine and weigh myself every Sunday morning, as soon as I get out of the shower and before I have had anything to eat or drink (so that I am the lightest I can possibly be grin) - not a pretty sight! I have a weight chart on the side of my fridge to encourage me when the line moves down!
I got very close to my target of 10 and a half stone last year but had a few crisis moments and lost the plot! I am now working on it again but as glass will know I have had dreadful trouble getting the number 11 on the scales - they always say 12 stone something even if it is 12 stone and half a pound! AARRRGGGHHHH!
However, as I said glass and all the other 'trying losers' are always very encouraging and if you have a rough time will soon get you back on track! I had a rough time last year and was so grateful for support. We have a good laugh together too keeping each other going.
Keep this thread on 'watch' and you will see added comments every day as we all weigh at different times and in different ways - some go to Weightwatchers, others Slimming World etc but we all have one common aim! From what you see others putting down you can decide for yourself how much or little you wish to admit!
Good luck and welcome to the crazy gang! grin

Welcome Granb - we are all in this together and each week glass's weekly entries are a great support to us all. glass is great at keeping us in line and motivated so please join us and good luck!!! smile

Sorry I've been away...I will be back but am having a difficult time at the moment. Two deaths in the family and my son and his partner are in the process of splitting up (very acrimoniously!) sad

susiecb Tue 21-Feb-12 09:03:30

Stayed the same this week - birthday weekend last week and several glasses of Prosecco and a few mini eggs were consumed so only myself to blame. Must get on with it now only 6 weigh ins to Easter and I really want to lose 9 lbs to get me into the next stone bracket.

glassortwo Mon 20-Feb-12 22:02:22

yoga 1lb is not that bad you have been away, as long as you are monitoring and tweeking things you will manage to stay in control, hope you enjoyed you break.

yogagran Mon 20-Feb-12 21:55:01

I have put on 1lb since two weeks ago. Not too drastic for me as I was actually 2lb under my target weight but still keep on this thread as I am not going to put the weight back on
I was away all last week visiting family which was lovely but always means eating more and doing less. So back on track this week to get a couple of pounds under 10st again

glassortwo Mon 20-Feb-12 20:07:36

They are 1 healthy extra for anyone on SW.

glassortwo Mon 20-Feb-12 20:05:54

Just come across this on FB (Slimming World page) so cant say if they are any good but have copied it for you. But it is written by someone else ..... I have heard they are very good.
...................................................................................................
Magic porridge oaty pancakes

Last night I measured out 35g porridge oats (an Oatsosimple could be used too) and added a vanilla muller light.
I left it in the fridge overnight.

This morning I added 2 beaten eggs (you can add another egg if you want more panckes) to the oaty mixture. I then added sweetner (use your own discretion) with a drop of vanilla essence. Mixed/beat everything together.

Heated a frying pan with frylight and added the 'batter' for acuracy a scone/biscuit cutter can be used in the pan.

Cook until golden brown - they should resemble american pancakes.

I served mine with blueberries and fat free natural yogurt.

Very nice and a change from 'just porridge'

jingle I will swop with you I am more of a street girl than ballet, in fact you could bring to mind pet elephant grin

carol we all have those sorts of weeks, but at least you didnt have a gain gain. wink

ronald 1lb is a good loss nice an steady keep it up.

sba it happens like that but keep at it, and when you have finished with Paul send him over wink

green thank you for cracking the whip last week wine you did a brilliant job.

Sbagran Mon 20-Feb-12 15:31:16

Life isn't fair girls is it! Before last week's weigh-in I did everything right, gym/swim three times in the week, ate sensibly and walked to and from work every day - and lost of 0.2 of a pound! angry
This past week I only went to gymswim once due to half term commitments, had a lift on odd occasions to or from work and although I ate sensibly we did have a chinese one evening which I split over two days - I stayed exactly the same!!!
Has anyone else been watching 'The Biggest Loser' on TV? Those poor blighters do really tough gym sessions daily with trainers, various challenges, have supervised menus etc and even they only lose a couple of pounds sometimes in a week. That must be totally soul destroying so why are we surprised?
I am starting a 'salads week' this week - perhaps the change of foodstuffs will jolt the system into action? I am also going to go to bed with Paul McKenna (DH doesn't mind - he's used to it!) as I did find that it seemed to work in the past. Whether it is him that works or whether it is a combination or sheer fluke I don't know but I'll try anything!
Good luck to everyone else - we missed you glass but green was great and deserves some thanks

ronald Mon 20-Feb-12 14:49:01

Lost 1lb this week ,below my target of 2 lb a week but still a loss. Better make the most of it before the grandchildren arrive not much chance of sticking to the diet but I will try to limit damage

Carol Mon 20-Feb-12 14:44:00

Well if I can't be excused from confessing, I have to admit to getting through most of the banana loaf over the last few days, and no surprise I am still the same weight. It's been an emotional week!

whatisamashedupphrase Mon 20-Feb-12 14:32:59

As there is obviously no real housework/gardening going to get done round my house today, I am going to go for a nice long walk. smile

And let my 'puter cool down.

whatisamashedupphrase Mon 20-Feb-12 14:28:25

I so want to go to Baby Ballet. Both my dgs's do dancing but not ballet. They drew the line at ballet. hmm It's mostly street dancing.

gracesmum Mon 20-Feb-12 12:57:26

1lb I think but then I had a fried egg bap so...........................sad
Found my motivation last week when I tried on a possible wedding outfit and, well, the less said about what I saw in the mirror the better shock

glassortwo Mon 20-Feb-12 12:34:53

I am off to Baby Ballet with GD.
