Stayed the same this week largely due to being fed up with the rain unable to play golf and drinking for England all last week. All my fault must do better family party coming up in June and I want to annoy my sister.

Perhaps I'll switch back to the sherry wine wink...

crimson I am supposed to be fattening DH up (no, not for Christmas, but because he lost so much weight in hospital) He has full cream milk and a large mug of Horlicks at night and has gained 4 kg in just under 2 weeks. Lose that Horlicks! Try herbal tea with a 1/2 tsp of honey for a much lower calorie bedtime soporific!

crimson Mon 23-Apr-12 22:51:00

I did have some but still made it with milk! And I bet it's got the evil aspartamine in it [I think I've still got the container..I'll read what it says ingredient wise; I'm soaking a paint brush in it..not in horlicks but white spirit confused].

crimson tell them instead of chocolate to buy you some plumbing fittings and the bill for your heating might come down grin Have you tried the light Horlicks, I have no idea whats its like as I hate Horlicks wink

I bought some gorgeous granary bread on saturday when I was looking after the grandchildren for the day, and then everyone decided to have a take away curry as well. I think my latest fad for having a mug of horlicks last thing at night is piling the weight on also. Having said that, I've just had the results of the blood test I had done because of my yukky mouth and I seem to be incredibly healthy. So, perhaps my strange lopsided diet isn't so bad after all smile. And all the Easter chocolate has gone, thank goodness. How can I explain to people that, if they want to thank me for something do NOT give me chocolate sad.

crimson bread is one of my two down falls, wine being the other. So I know where you are coming from, in fact my DH has taken it into his head that he is the master bread maker in the North East and the last two Sundays has made a batch of bread, it is taking something for me not to pig out on it, the smell is just too much shock

crimson Mon 23-Apr-12 20:58:56

Still having problems with the bread consumption [see cookery book thread]. Only way to lose weight is to kick the bread habit but it's not happening.

grace you have lost 1lb well done smile

sba I hope you get things sorted, take care flowers hope you week improves xxx

Had four bottles of blood taken on Thursday to be tested for (looking at the list the practice nurse had!) everything except food and mouth! I said that to my Boss when he asked how I got on and he replied "Would have thought they'd have checked that first! hmm
Surely with that lot taken away I should have lost weight? grin
Seriously though - I am ok about this weeks scales - up 0.2 of a lb in spite of less general exercise and no gym/swim sessions. Over the four weeks that I have been off colour I have stayed within 11stone 11 and 11stone 12lbs so I'll accept that!
The tiredness continues but I am sure that the blood tests will show a lack of something (probably as simple as iron?) - then pop a few pills and all will be well. Just have to be sure that the exhaustion isn't anything to do with the vaselvagal episodes.
Will be up and running again next week if at all possible - I have a stone to lose and will lose it this year, hopefully!!!
Good luck everyone!
glass I know how you feel about having a strange week! You take care of yourself!flowers

11st 6 - is that down on last week? I do hope so, I went outfit shopping with youngest D on Saturday and she (helpfully) took pix of what I was trying on so that I could consider at home and I think I look the size of a house in all of them sad

Have you all seen the new emoticon? dragon
Very patriotic!

I've just stayed the same, really....confused GillieB, I find that a bowl with couple of cut up kiwifruit and an orange mixed through it all helps in that department - wouldn't give it to your elephant, though - it might be more than you can cope with....grin

GillieB Mon 23-Apr-12 12:28:47

Well, glass one problem has now been taken care of - now to deal with the scales. I will try again tomorrow morning (taking the scales all around the house with me) and see what happens!

glassortwo Mon 23-Apr-12 12:00:43

You will look fantastic grannya for the wedding, your doing well.

sew its been so strange its difficult its to explain, a combination really! 1lb is great dont knock it especially when you had a bad day yesterday.

raggy 3lb fantastic, you have certainly kept on the straight and narrow.

notso great loosing when you have been away into a totally different eating situation camping is usually all food to warm you up from the cold and wet, hope it wasnt too wet.

gillie I have had a real good chuckle at the elephant, have a fiddle then see what happens grin grin grin

GillieB Mon 23-Apr-12 11:46:40

Equipment malfunction - the wretched scales don't seem to be working properly! And I am not joking here. When I stood on them this morning I had put on three kilos since Thursday - and I know that is not right. I haven't eaten anything that I shouldn't have done, and have exercised religously every day - two x ten mile sessions on the bike, and then one x thirty minute session since Friday. OH has been on the scales, too, and they are very wrong for him as well. I shall have to play around with them. I know I need to go to the loo (tmi), but I can't believe that that will weigh over three kilos, can you? I now have a vision of an elephant with an enormous pile of poo at the side of him. smile

I've lost a pound this week, which is a nice surprise. I was away camping at the weekend and had lots of 'off message' things to eat, but also lots of exercise and walking, so one seems to have cancelled out the other!

raggymac Mon 23-Apr-12 09:53:24

Good morning everyone. I was very surprised this morning to find I have lost 3 pounds- have lost all the 'Easter weight' thank goodness! sunshine

Now I am trying to lose at least a pound a week until hols on May 18th

Hope everyone else is keeping on ' the straight and narrow'

Sewsilver Mon 23-Apr-12 08:13:32
