grin keep pedaling, well I have been out since 5.30 this morning with DH, he had to step into the shoes of one of the one call lads at work who decided he was resigning last night, so he had to go down to Chesterfield so I went and kept him company, so I have been out for breakfast and lunch. I have got a numb bum and ready for bed, but have kept peeping at GN during the day on his Ipad. wink

Notso, I had a breakfast at the wee cafe today...I'm still not hungry, but will have a yoghurt with stewed rhubarb in a minute. That may 'dispose' of some of the breakfast...grin Keep on pedalling!

Last night DD SIL & 2 DGS (who only live 15 mins away) came for a sleepover. I over indulged in DD's lamb curry and all the accompanying bits, but resisted the lemon meringue pie.
They bought my 'new' exercise bike with them....discarded by their next door neighbour (who originally obtained it from Freecycle) and swapped in exchange for several bottles of home made wine.
The bike's a bit of a beast, quite old fashioned and very heavy, but according to SIL (to whom these things matter) is well engineered.
I've been pedalling furiously on and off throughout the day, hoping to cancel out last night's curry. Plus samosas. Bhajees. Peshwari Nan. Loads of Wine.

Off to do a few more 'miles' before tomorrow's weigh in. grin

Currently with weight watchers, and its working.Must admit its hard, but the system seems to tolerate the odd indulgence thank god. I've been topping up with vitamins just to keep the old normal body defences upto scratch.
I have been getting some very good omega 3, that I researched, its recommended by Stirling University, that's good enough for me being a Scot!
I get it off www.skinsalveation.com/shop/ss/vitamins-for-eczema/ and I think it honestly keeps me on top form.
Joints, skin, just generally feel good,
Joan

The more I think of food, the more disinclined I get to get myself out of my recliner chair and prepare some!
I'm lazy!

nelliedeane Sat 19-May-12 12:20:21

sba do you know I was thinking about your Race for life when I woke up and lay for an age and looked at the clock and it was only 1.51am, and as you do things just wander through your mind and you wandered through grin well done!!! You should be proud of that time, especially the way you have been these last few weeks.

Sbagran Fri 18-May-12 18:38:34

Oh how I wish I had your faith glass!!! I will be happy though to remain in my plateau region and the same this weekend as we are off on our jollies on 27th (the following weekend) so I have a manic week ahead!
Forgot to brag tell you! I did the Race for Life in 48/49mins - ten mins longer than last year but I was sensible and walked a lot more this year smile so I'm happy!!!

glassortwo Fri 18-May-12 14:37:38

grannyK I am pleased the wedding went off well, what a shame you didnt have your camera, but I am sure there will lots of shots of your gorgeous outfit and slyph like shape wink

GrannyK Thu 17-May-12 22:59:25

Didn't post on Tuesday as I am giving myself a week off after the wedding. Not being deliberately reckless or anything, but just not concentrating on food as much as usual. Wedding , frock, weather ( amazingly !) etc were all terrific, but guess which twit went off to the church with her camera, but leaving the battery charging at home......! Am going to have to rely on other people's photos to prove that getting within a pound or two of target weight actually paid off in the end !

glassortwo Thu 17-May-12 21:39:33

Congratulations sba I would say it couldnt possibly have been a scale malfunction wink

Sbagran Thu 17-May-12 21:30:10

Just realised I haven't reported in this week - where has this week gone?
Having had an unexplained weight gain nearly a fortnight ago I was really pleased to see a LOSS of 2.6lbs last Sunday morning. shock
However, I am not totally convinced that it is a loss because I firmly suspect that the sudden increase the previous week was a scales malfunction!
Isn't it strange that you can stand on the scales at 8am on one day and weigh one amount and then stand on them again at 8am the next day and weigh more (or less!) than the day before? I think that was what happened the previous week and I am still, in reality, in my plateau phase of 165-166lbs.
I will weigh in as usual this coming Sunday and hope that amnesia will not strike again next week!
Well done all my fellow 'losers' and 'attempting-to-losers' !!!
(((Hugs))) to sew - hope something can be sorted for you soon, pain drags you down so quickly - you take care flowers

Sewsilver Wed 16-May-12 14:09:58

Thanks Glass. Great to have support.

greenmossgiel Tue 15-May-12 22:37:41

Thanks, glass. I'll keep that in mind. I do like cheese, but just have slivers of it on a Ryvita. smile

glassortwo Tue 15-May-12 20:32:07

butter you know straight away when you get that movement in the waist band of your clothes, if your good you will trim some off before the wedding.

notso back on track again well done, you have a few more weeks to loose some and give yourself a little bit in the bank.

nellie let me know if you need anymore recipes.

alison its difficult to eat healthy when you are away from home, I think if you are careful in what you order, try not to have butter laden sauces or anything fryed, and eat pleanty of veg and if you can avoid the pudding wink

green its so easy to up the portion size without noticing, and if you eat breakfast cereal you get a fright if you weighed out 35g of cereal its a minute amount. shock If your having a baked potato pick one that fits into your palm, likewise for meat use your palm as a guide. Be careful if you like cheese!

sew I am sorry you are having a bad time at the moment, trying to be good when you are restricted with your knee can be sole distroying, but hopefully you will see an improvement soon, flowers

susie another pound smile well done. Introduce some of things that you have cut out but just be wary of what your having, but you know that.

bez good start for just a few days, hope the Mammogram went fine. flowers

raggy have a good holiday and dont worry about what your having, your on holiday, plenty time when you get back.

Hope I have not missed anyone out.

raggymac Tue 15-May-12 17:02:30

Have 'maintained' this week. I will try and walk a few pounds off on holiday next
week -some hope!

Those recipes sound good glass

Bez Tue 15-May-12 09:47:19

Forgot to weigh yesterday- so did it this morning and have lost just over half a pound - only started the diet towards the end of last week so at least it is all going the right way.
Sunshine here today - lovely looking out over the hills and seeding the sheep. Will shortly be having a practise with the fridge door as I have a mammogram this afternoon!
