grannyk it does seem to arrive back quite quickly, but at least you know what you need to do to bring it all back in line smile

specki of course you can come and join us, sorry to hear you are having some problems, but I know what you mean about comfort eating its one of my failings, and going into it with the knowledge you may slip will help you. flowers

Well I have gained 1 lb so that's it Monday morning I am going back on SW I can not get away with these pro points, pity I had signed up on line for WW been an expensive change, so in this case a change is not as good as a rest.

Here's a good tasty quick meal.Coronation Chicken Pitta.
1 medium pitta bread; 1 tabsp low fat mayo;pinch of curry pwdr;2 slices roast chicken ; 5 ready to eat apricots; watercress. Mix mayo/curry/chicken/apricots. fill split pitta with mix and watercress. 5 weightwatchers points.

Can I join you please? I lost 9 kg last year doing 'self-organised' Weightwatchers system. i.e. 20 points a day. It worked so well although lots of people told me to stop because it showed in my face. Now I've got big trauma in my life and know I'm going to eat for comfort. Terrified of piling it back on so back to counting the points. I'm 65.5 kg (145 lbs) today. Will think up a recipe as an entry ticket!

Bit disappointed this week .

Did masses of really heavy gardening at the weekend and filled and emptied the car three times for visits to the tip while clearing out the garage too.

Felt very virtuous and fit , got to two Pilates classes too but still managed to be three pounds back above the target weight I achieved a few weeks ago when i weighed on Tuesday . As someone posted earlier - what would I have been without all the exercise?

Obviously I didn't put it all one in one week - was letting myself relax a bit after the wedding the previous week , but obviously over relaxed !?

Still lots of gardening going on while the fine weather lasts , so am being more careful about food and hope for better results next week .

Got on the scales again this morning and was a pound down - obviously did it a day early yesterday!
I am not really doing specific recipes etc but eating smaller portions - I am going by the amounts on the diet sheet the French Dr gave DH when he told him he needed to lose some weight as he was in danger of Type2 diabetes. I eat very little with flour in as it bloats me and also plays havoc with the digestion if eaten anymore than about a half slice.
Fruit and fresh veg have always played a great part in our normal diet so it had to be portion size and also drinking lots of water. Have been having Vichy water or similar ( hard to source here ) with our meals and that helps enormously with digestion. We came back from France with a good number of bottles in the boot.

It is good to see on here that I am not the only one with the see saw action with the weight - it is so depressing when doing it on your own. Thank you girls for the group support for everyone.

Congratulations susiecb how encouraging. Will try veg and protein but not the brans... Does anyone know what happened to 'Limits' I used to eat them to fill me up in the 60's I was very slim but they kept me going in a busy day.

2lbs off for me this week so I ma a happy bunny! The changes I made were having veg soup (Homemade) for two lunches and a fat free yogurt (no sandwich), protein breakfasts - eggs, bacon , haddock in rotation played golf three times BUT the big one was Scan brans (available from Slimming World and Holland and Barrett. One does not wish to be indelicate but they aid the transtion time tremendously. They are dry and tasteless but I have them with a little marmalade for breakfast and hey ho - bathroom visit everyday.

Well after a week eating less and doing more my weight is the same. How scary if I hadn't made an effort I would have put on! Try harder? I feel depressed and so feel like saying blow it

Just seen post a recipe request: Sat. night I had.....
Salmon Pave (poached but ate it at room temperature), with lemon, black pepper and chopped dill from the garden, Watercress salad with crisp sliced apple and walnuts. Dressing of light olive oil and white balsamic vinegar with just a grain of sugar added. No idea about calories - but light and healthy I think.

I've been feeling slimmer, but don't dare have my hopes dashed by unearthing my new scales from the back of the cupboard. My tummy-button has changed shape, which I choose to believe is because I've lost a bit. I have been trying, but tonight, because it's so wet and chilly, have just polished off a bowl of spaghetti. Yum!

greenmossgiel Mon 21-May-12 19:27:57

One and a quarter off....I had meals out on Friday, Saturday and a large breakfast at the cafe yesterday. I was very strict, though, and only had fruit for the rest of each day. This afternoon, I have sat in the garden and drank wine with the neighbours, so it's a good job it's a whole week till the next weigh-in...blushgrin

Sbagran Mon 21-May-12 18:47:03

We definitely need a see-saw emoticon shock - back up to 167lbs yesterday so have been between 165 and 167lbs for several months now. confused
Am off on my hols next weekend (hopefully - as we are booked to go to northern Italy where yesterday's earthquake occurred!) but when we get back will have to take some drastic action to give the weight a huge kick!
Good luck to everyone this week!!!

Bez Mon 21-May-12 10:07:03

Static this week but I do have the excuse of visitors at the weekend, but to be honest I think it was the chocolate flake I had last evening!!

Back to the drawing board today and hopefully better results nest week.

Green Soup. Chop & cook 4 spring onions in a little FryLite. Add a thinly sliced potato & cook for 3/4 mins. Add 500ml of water and a Knorr veg stock cube, black pepper to taste & simmer until potato is soft. Add a bag of watercress/spinach/rocket leaves & simmer for another minute. Whizz until smooth. This makes 2 servings, about 90 calories a serving. It freezes well.
I have this with 2 rice cakes (60 cals) and a satsuma (25 cals) for lunch.

whenim64 Mon 21-May-12 07:53:52

Good morning! I've lost barely half a pound, after a week of meals out and yesterday a family Sunday dinner of three courses and wine, so I wasn't surprised when I got on the scales.

I had a chicken and bacon caesar salad the other day, made with low cal caesar dressing, baked not fried croutons, poached chicken (in stock in slow cooker) and 3 rashers of crispy dry fried prosciutto chopped and sprinkled over the mixed salad. Less than 300 calories, delicious and filling.

Notsogrand Mon 21-May-12 07:06:05

Good morning!
I've put on 2lbs. angry Serves me right!
I have 9 days to get it off again before my holiday, so the mantra this week is F O C U S.

I'll post a recipe later glass.
Good luck everyone!

glassortwo Sun 20-May-12 22:59:00

My bed is calling me, so for any of you early risers who like to post their results here is this weeks thread.

Challenge for you all this week, would you all post a recipe for a healthy meal that you have had this week and that others might enjoy. wink
