Sorry cant hang around half way through a date with a hot toddy, forgot its Sunday till notso remdminded me, catch you all on Monday [wkin]
I've lost another pound this week and feel I really had to work hard for it! Oh well, at least it's going in the right direction.
Good luck everyone!
After many vicissitudes I am back (down ?) to 11 st 3 and with 4 1/2 weeks to go to the wedding am officially back on the waggon!
Well done notso. I'm still struggling to lose just a little bit at a time. Even with going out yesterday I have totalled 6598 calories this week which = 942.5 a day. I have lost 0.6 lb and my BMI is now 25.8.
I really wanted to get to my first milestone before we go on holiday but am going to miss it as we go on Friday and I'm 1.8lbs away. We are visiting DS3's fiancee's family and I have been told her mum is a really good cook so it doesn't look like I will lose anyting while we are away. We will also be travelling a lot and eating out so I think it is inevitable that I will come back heaier than I went.
It is interesting though that I have tried on trousers and shorts I wore last year on holiday and they still fit even though I'm heavier than I was then. I think it must be all the extra pilates classes I am doing which have made my bottom half more toned. Still trying to think positive.
Now I'm going to get some fruit and salad and go in the garden to eat them because it seems summer is finally here!
Hi everyone - it seems we are all struggling.
I weighed yesterday - two weeks after the last weigh in and have put on 3.4lb. I know the cause - family wedding last weekend (hence no weigh-in last Sunday) and several 'sins' during last week so I am not surprised.
I have now registered with My Fitness Pal to see if I can get re-focussed as I have definitely gone off the rails!
Bit complicated isn't it
but I am sure I will get the hang of it!
I am just about to start a new thread (as I don't want to take over this one!) regarding the possibility of an under active thyroid affecting lack of weight loss! May be worth those of you who, like me, are working so hard and yet not losing weight, looking into my possible theory?
Good luck to everyone - go for it girls!
A hopeless week, but have walked and also enjoyed some swimming today, so feeling fitter, if not slimmer.
Not done much walking as I've had a dreadful sore throat and streaming cold, thanks to dgd!
Also comfort eaten lots of several biscuits! But.. the good news is that I tried on some cream Armani jeans that I thought were going to the charity shop and they fitted again! Very happy!
Well I have stayed the same but I should not be surprised I still have not climbed back on the wagon after my hols and I have a terrible cold with a cough. I didnt sleep last night even after the hot toddy that DH made for me, which had me tipsy as you can tell by my OP, Notso had to remind me that it was Sunday!
It can be hard work some week notso but its 1lb off.
grace 4 1/2 weeks you could loose almost 1/2 stone by then
alison get yourself off on your holidays and dont even think about your weight go and enjoy yourself.
sba its hard to slip back into it, I will look for you other thread , my DD and I have been having a similar conversation and as she has PCOS she has been reading about no carb ( I am a terror for carbs and maybe they are not doing me any favours), just down loaded the book to my kindle so I am going to read it and see what they say.
I have lost 1 lb this week and now the sunshine has arrived I feel like doing lots of gardening. Hurray!
Great when do you think the app has helped? Its amasing how you feel more energised when the sun is shinning.
Haven't weighed today! Will try and remember tomorrow!
Yes glass that app is my conscience now, and I've managed to trim down my sugar cravings, which I didn't realise were a concern until I read the nutritional breakdown on the app. I would have breakfast and without adding any sugar, would exceed the daily limit! Changing to dried cranberries, pumkin seeds and fresh fruit to snack on has made a difference, and I use agave nectar if I want to sweeten things like rhubarb is it's low GI, excessively sweet and I use very little. I've started doing a large jigsaw in the evening to keep me occupied when I start to think about eating and am not hungry.
It shows that you can exceed your limits and not even realise. I have looked online but I have just got a new phone so I will download it to my phone.
I have put back on the 2lb I lost last week. Wish I could blame MFP but haven't used it for 3days aS away at residential conference and food kept appearing! At least I know why and still very inactive due to knee agony so back to it tomorrow. Encouraging to see others doing well. Hope you soon feeling better Glass
ella I have a pair of those I can't get into!
sewsilver my sympathy I am just the same if DH goes off and does something else in the evening I feel the need to go and nibble!
I am off for a pre-holiday haircut this morning so will walk in this lovely sun. Come home for lunch and then walk again to physio and to pick up my currency. So tomorrow I will have lost the 1.8 lbs I wanted to lose before I go away?!? I wish
I reached and exceeded my target last night at Slimming World having lost 2st 9lbs since September and overall 4stone 10lbs in the last four years all with SW. I really reccomend this is you are struggling to lose weight beacuse its just healhty eating with little or no counting and measuring and yuo can enterian, go out to restaurants, have parties. DH ate the same as me and lost 21lbs without even realising he was on a 'diet'. Good luck with your weight loss - its been great for relieving back pain and arthritis. We will be staying on the plan with oe or two treats here and there.
ella wow its worth going through the rest of your wardrobe.
sew it is difficult when your are away from home and someone else is planning the menu, hope you had a good time. Once you get home and back with your MFP it will come off.

susie well done I need a fanfare , you must be feeling on top of the world, those last few pounds were a bit tricky but you have done it, congratulations!!!!!
Family coming tonight for a meal, and I'm making a Eton/Wilmslow mess!
I won't be able to resist, so those jeans probably won't fit by tomorrow!
Hey ho!
susie I am so thrilled for you as you have tried so hard and persevered for so long without giving up. Well done you clever girl! Would send you a large
but perhaps
would be better (fewer calories!)
I have had lots of brilliant response to my thread about thyroids - well worth any of you with possible thyroid problems reading. Doesn't seem that my hoped for miracle cure will in fact materialise but you never know!?!
sew sending you the usual (((hugs))) - you are so brave to soldier on. Please don't give up, we all need your inspiration!
Get well soon glass - we need you!
Thank you for those nice words.
I've stayed just the same this week, but perhaps that's better than going up
yoga its not a gain so dont be down, sometimes it does not show but your hovering on the edge of a loss, I bet if you had got weighed tomorrow it would show.
Fantastic news getting to your target susie
