I am of the baby boom era and baby boomers do not grow old gracefully.
I want to live another 75 years to annoy the government and my occupational pension schemes.
I do not want to end life in care.

You and me both Nonu, I am cultivating the graceful bit, when I remember. In 25 years I will be heading for 100 and intend to me an indomitable old lady who terrifies her descendants, Proper respect for the old, I say.

I get reprimanded by the women when I don't go to Bums and Tums.
I do know some of the women from school days and they have told the rest how I got to be doing Bums and Tums.
When I went on holiday recently and asked if men can join the Bums and Tums class I was told I would be very welcome bus she said I am likely to be the only man in it.
I could not believe that.

Until he broke his hip last year ancient Uncle (then 92) took part, twice weekly, in the aerobics classes in his Care Home. I have seen them in action and very fit they are too. Thankfully, they tend to wear track suits.
