grannyk every little bit. wink
teganI like your dedication to housework grin yes your right about the exercise, but be careful with smoothies they can be very calorie laden, in Slimming World if a fruit is liquidised or cooked it goes from being free to syned, for eg you can eat 1 banana, orange or apple and known I have eaten them but break them down into a juice or puree and you could take in more than is possible if eating in the original form and dont feel you have had them, and SW is all about free foods where you eat until you are comfortably content.
babs its a journey and sometimes you have to pull into a layby, youll be fine.
nellie up a little
ginny sounds like a perfect day.smile You did have a good loss last week so dont get to disheartened.

I only vacuumed a small area under a cupboard [hadn't vacuumed it since I had the carpet cleaned and that was ages ago]. Had to move it as stuff had fallen down the side [I dump stuff there when I get home]. And the vacuum cleaner just happened to be in the middle of the hall where I left it about a week ago when I was doing something else blush. 6kg makes such a difference, doesn't it? I've lost 5 and feel so much better for it. I glance at food sometimes between meals but haven't been tempted to eat anything. It was the getting home tired thing that had me picking at food. Must say I don't feel hungry at all a lot of the time these days.

58.7 down to 58.6. Hurrah ! Every little helps ......smile

TeganYou were vacuuming the hall at 23:32:51????
Is that really necessary grin
I've lost 6kg since retiring 18months ago and have honestly never felt better in my life. More walking, gardening, tennis and Zumba but I do try to be disciplined about not eating between meals - though that seems easier too.
I used to finish work about 6pm and have to have a few biscuits before tying up all the odds and ends and driving home to cook dinner, then be too tired/hungry to cook till I'd had something else and so it went on.....
I don't think I could face the 5:2 thing but now have no problem restricting myself to 3 proper meals a day plus one snack either late afternoon or last thing at night depending on when we've eaten the main meal.
You'll love retirement grin

I meant 60 and 61 blush my typos are getting worse...! I'm a bit worried that I'll start putting weight back on when I retire as I'm on my feet all day at work. Although I don't sit down much at home, either; I'm a wanderer, flitting between unfinished domestic chores [currently doing the washing up and vacuuming the hall].

Lost 600g back down to 63kg.
I'm sure you are right about exercise Tegan

60kg; was hovering between 60 and 60 for a couple of weeks so can't really say I've lost any. Don't really want to lose any more at the moment, just want to tone up a bit and then lose a few more pounds. Am convinced that the exercising has increased my metabolism and the hot weather has made me not want to eat much. I've cut out the smoothies; they may have been good for me but they were full of calories.

Babs1952 Mon 05-Aug-13 13:07:29

Gained 1/2lb at my weigh in last Thursday! Not to worried as I had been a bit stressed so eat and drank more than I should. Not too down hearted though try harder this week. smile

58.2kg that's up only a bit remarkably. Having been on holiday last week with cooked breakfast and three course dinners. Several afternoon Tea and Cakes, a few ice creams and two bottles of wine over those seven days. Not a good result. I did a few more miles of walking than usual though which might have countered the ice creams.

No loss or gain this week. Not surprised, 2 family birthday meals and a lovely day out on the Grand Union canal with lunch and dinner provided. Really quite pleased to have stayed the same. Hope for a good loss next week.

Bez Mon 05-Aug-13 08:26:39

Remained the same this week but not too disappointed as it has been very hot and we did have some ice cream plus we had visitors. Start. Again this week.
