Well Thats the summer over and full steam ahead now for Christmas, are you going to get into that little black dress?

Galen Sun 08-Sept-13 22:23:04

Ouch!
Forget the little black number!
At the moment I've got to get onto my evening dresses for the cruise in 14days time!
Will weigh in domani, but I suspect about 14 stone!

Galen Sun 08-Sept-13 22:24:03

Into. Not onto!
But might be accuratesad

Tegan Sun 08-Sept-13 22:27:37

Just thought I'd finish off my holiday overeating by polishing off some chocolates that have ben in the larder for months. Start again tomorrow [not eating, that is, not eating chocolate].

annodomini Sun 08-Sept-13 23:00:50

Tegan, how could chocolates possibly be left in your larder for months? In my house they wouldn't even reach the larder!

Tegan Sun 08-Sept-13 23:08:33

It's because I overdosed on the Christmas ones and had to go cold turkey for a while. Needless to say I polished off the whole box tonight blush.

13 12. Got 10 days to lose 6lbs, don't think I'll do it.sad

Grannyeggs Mon 09-Sept-13 17:30:55

I am back, this time to stay if you will have me! Over the summer I lost and put on the same five pounds, I am now 11 stone and need to lose at least a stone. HELP blush

janeainsworth Mon 09-Sept-13 23:25:37

I've stayed the same at 62.1 kg.
Grannyeggs Since about last April I have really tried to reduce as much as possible the amount of sugar in my diet, and the weight has seemed to come off more easily. What has surprised me is the less sugar I eat, the less I seem to crave sweet things.

Tegan Mon 09-Sept-13 23:35:52

Ate some biscuits tonight sad. Have also been eating bread whilst I've been on holiday and feel rubbish for doing so. Will definately start eating properly again tomorrow [no biscuits or chocolate left in the house; or bread]. Was actually losing weight at the start of my holiday as well, but towards the end of the two weeks started eating up food that we didn't want to take back with us. Very annoyed with myself tonight; also eating cause I'm tired.

Grannyeggs Tue 10-Sept-13 18:25:54

janeainsworth I realise what you say is true, and I do have a sweet tooth. Over the summer I have been baking, supposedly for the GC, but I know that it's for me. Have stopped now and have no cake, biscuits or chocolate,my biggest downfall, in the house.

Bez Tue 10-Sept-13 18:41:33

I am about the same as a few weeks ago - I seem to go down a bit and then back up again. We went to stay with friends for a few days this week and they have both lost about 15Kgs by eating their main meal at lunchtime - but no wine - and the a much smaller meal in the evening - maybe soup and cheese or charcuterie - plus a blass of wine. She told me that they have been having slightly smaller portions. We are now trying the main meal at lunch time when we can.
DGS coming at the weekend for 5or 6 days so I will need to be making apple crumble etc but will do my best to have small portions of everything and go back on the regime ASAP. I do find that eating very little or no bread helps enormously with the fat middle.

Tegan Tue 10-Sept-13 18:45:28

Having eaten so healthily for several months the bings eating of junk food over the past couple of days has actually made me feel ill; awful stomach pain today [think that's due to eating bread again and last nights biscuits] and indigestion. That'll reach me. At least I've only ate soup today so may be back on track, especially as I'm having a really early night tonight. Just goes to show what it's like to eat rubbish [and too much of it] all the time.

Tegan Tue 10-Sept-13 19:10:43

bings??

glassortwo Tue 10-Sept-13 19:48:44

I have totalled the last challenge and we have lost fanfare
6st 3lbs 11oz
Give yourselves a pat on the back that amazing.

I have lost 2lb this week which is more than I expected as we had a surprise 80th birthday party for my FIL, I did the catering and had to taste everything to make sure it was worth eating wink

galen I would just give it everything you can from now until your hols and you might get a nice surprise, but don't get stressed about it, life is too short.

tegan Sorry I missed you when you were up in my part of the world, one of these days we will get together, hope you had a good time. I think you have to relax your eating on high days and holidays or what would be the point of making ourselves feel deprived, trick is getting back on the wagon as soon as you get back, get up tomorrow and give it a go.

grannyeggs I would like to lose at least a stone before Christmas, so come on and we will try together.

jane you have done a fantastic job over the summer well done.

bez sometimes a shuffle around of meal times and actually what you are eating can liven everything up, worth a try.

Total this week 2lbs

GrannyK Fri 13-Sept-13 12:06:20

Bother bother bother !
And help !

Back in the theatre for two weeks chaperoning , which means I am having great fun but am tired , and when I am tired I eat . It's not even as if I am eating rubbish , just too much . Wasn't able to weigh this week (staying away from home) - which I know is just as well as I would then be tired and depressed ( an even worse combination ) Probably won't be able to weigh next week either , but need stern words to ensure that when I do the week after things won't have reached a desperate state .......

Nelliemoser Fri 13-Sept-13 17:45:12

I seem to have stuck at around 57.5 kg for several weeks and cant seem to shift from that I am on the heavy side for my 5' 1".

mrshat Fri 13-Sept-13 19:37:21

Hi all. Still at 12stone 6lbs. I would LOVE to get to 12 stone before Christmas or by first weekend in November when DD1 reaches 40! I think this might be wishful thinking wink

glassortwo Fri 13-Sept-13 21:28:08

grannyk try not to always grab a sandwich, try to keep your fluids up and I mean water not wine grin go for a salad and then you can still have a few nibbles, you will be fine. But if not try not to stress you can deal with it when
Thing are back to normal.

glassortwo Fri 13-Sept-13 21:31:15

nellie have you tried changing the things you eat normally. Try to shuffle the food you would normally have, swop them around as sometime our metabolism needs a shake up, and up your water intake its can work wonders.

glassortwo Fri 13-Sept-13 21:37:02

mrs hat 6lb we can have that off for November no problem. Try to up your veg intake 1/3 of you plate, use fry's light instead of oil/butter/olive oil. Limit your bread to 2 small slices of whole meal bread a day from a small loaf or have 2 weetabix (not both). No biscuits or cake and you will see a difference.
