On my return from Oz - I weighed on Monday, I was 12stone 7.5lbs. I think that was about the weight I was when I left - now there's a miracle! Still wishing to get to 12 stone ......................

Haven't weighed since I injured my shoulder, but been comfort eating. Must weigh at weekend.

I was going to put this on a photo thread but didnt want to put other members off grin

1lb fat looks like this

So we should not say just lost a 1lb.

Fantastic notso and a visual like that brings it home to you doesn't it, and you and I have lost a bag of sugar between us this week smile

For the past year DD1 hasn't really changed what she eats but has dramatically cut back on the amount she eats. Has also been doing Pilates exercises (from a book) for about an hour a day. It's taken a year but she's lost 3 stones and looks amazing. Her efforts have really inspired me to get back onto eating and exercising properly.

Last night, she got the kitchen scales out and starting weighing bags of flour and tins of beans etc...adding it all up until she had a 3 stones pile of groceries in a shopping bag. She was astonished at the weight of the bag.....so was I!

We can do it ladies, and as Marelli says, we're all going in the right direction smile

Wow ginny well done, thats a great loss. smile
notso better off than on wink I think your body holds onto fluid when you start to exercise so thats probably what it is, all your hard work will show next week.
marelli the Christmas cake must have all gone smile great start.
grannyK the first few weeks back after Christmas are always hard getting back into a routine, but you have made a start and next week will be easier.
I have lost 1 pound, had a really good week as far as food is concerned then lost the plot a bit over the weekend.

Total this week 8lbs 4oz

Need SERIOUS HELP here ! Seem to have devised a 5:2 diet of my own. 5 days sensible eating and 2 days unaccountable over-eating !!! Have managed to lose half a pound this week ( bit of a miracle??) so the 5 days must have been really sensible . What is going on on the other days ? Is this still harking back to the excesses of Christmas . Definitely not feeling under control here ......

Marelli Mon 20-Jan-14 09:15:51

One and three-quarters off....smile. My goodness, ginny - that's really good! And as we all know, Notso, muscle does weigh heavier than fat wink! We're all going the right way.

Notso Mon 20-Jan-14 09:00:28

ginny that brilliant!

I've lost 1 lb this week which isn't much, but it's better than putting it on.

I've been doing loads of walking so maybe there's a slight increase in the weight of some of my leg muscles? grin

Good luck everyone!
