Mrs Hat I have lost a good stone over the last rear on the 5:2 and not been too frugal on non diet days. This is the only diet I have ever stuck to. The weekly loss is not great but I see it as more sustainable that others. I think this diet has changed by eating patterns.

So far today 1 cup of tea with milk, one pear two satsumas. One ginger and lemon tea. I will have plenty of hot no calorie drinks but no solid food until the evening now.

I just can't get below 11st 8 and a half - though I find it easy to get higher. I think there's definitely something wrong with my scales. Maybe a bit of dead spider has become stuck in the works shock

12st 6.5lbs this week - I think that is a loss of 1lb. It seems a long slow haul to 12stones!. Congratulations again! smile

Very pleased with this considering it was my birthday last week and we had a Haggis Bash on Saturday.

rockgran Wed 29-Jan-14 09:31:21

I,m aiming at pre Christmas - 1997. I have a way to go!

GrannyK Wed 29-Jan-14 09:28:43

You could well be right glass. I suppose I forgive myself afterwards and then don't make the situation worse ( very deep ! ) Anyway, was amazingly sensible yesterday and am now back to the same weight as last week . If I could only keep that up all week, I'd soon be back to pre Christmas . Fingers crossed ( yet again !)

Well doneginny smile
grannyk do you think confessing all on the mfp is like going to confession smile

Well I have stayed the same, which is disappointing as I seem to have had a good week, But if I look more closely the culprit will show itself no doubt .

GrannyK Tue 28-Jan-14 13:42:20

Am posting without weighing myself , cos yet again got home after a lovely evening last night , but then mooched round the kitchen and managed to put away an extra 1000 or so calories in half an hour. Will be sensible today and weigh myself tomorrow morning and then post again . Really don't understand why this is happening so regularly - once , if not twice a week? - I really thought I had stopped doing this since posting on here and using mfp . Heartened by your success stories this week , so hoping things will improve ..... ( Bizarrely , I am not totally in denial , cos I do fill in the extra consumption on mfp the day after . Makes for a weird graph!!!!)

Congratulation glassortwo. Enjoy !

2lb off this week. Long way still to go but my head seems to be in the right place at the moment !

rockgran Mon 27-Jan-14 22:26:14

Oh, how lovely - congratulations to all concerned! A bit drastic as a weight loss strategy though! flowers

Hi everyone I have been distracted and didnt get back today, DD had a little boy last night, she is home and has been on the scales and has lost a stone and he was only 7lb11oz, butt I dont think I will try her weight loss regime.

Well done notso another 1lb off.
Oh marelli have you got the dreaded bug, bet you been sucking cough sweets as they are full of sugar, never mind just get yourself better. flowers

rock tell yourself you will and you can smile
caz have a good holiday and worry about it when you get home smile
tegan it is never as bad as we imagine, we sabotage our own weight loss when we imagine it to be worse than it is.

Notso Mon 27-Jan-14 17:17:07

Me too Elegran!

Elegran Mon 27-Jan-14 17:09:03

Only 11? I wish!

Grannyeggs Mon 27-Jan-14 17:02:04

rockgran I know how you feel! I am hovering around 11 stone and want to be in the tens. I will post my weight on Wednesday.

Tegan Mon 27-Jan-14 16:22:39

I was scared to weigh myself this week, but plucked up the courage. the 1/2 stone gained over Christmas is still there but I thought It'd crept up even more so I'm quite relieved. Going to use this week as a 'healthy eating, stabilising sort of time and then start for real next week. This weather doesn't help [and I'm seeing the Dr about my foot on Thursday so hopefully can restart the exercise again]. Years ago I found that my weight would stay around 9 stone; was an effort to go below that but it took a lot of eating to go above it. Although I aimed for 8 stone most of the time, I've realised that I should have been 9 stone but with lots of exercise to tone up.I used to go to a place that toned my legs up [with little success] and the girl there sugested that I was, in fact underweight and I'd be better gaining a few pounds as I would be more in proportion. I think she was right, but my husband was always telling me I was fat sad.

cazthebookworm Mon 27-Jan-14 16:03:43

My very words rockgran, but I just cannot get to the elusive "nine stone something" no matter how hard I try. I am off to Spain for 2 weeks on Wednesday with buffet meals and I don't have a stop button when I am on holiday, so all the good I have done since Christmas will be undone. Oh well, I'll worry about it when I get back, but I will try to be sensible. Honest!!

rockgran Mon 27-Jan-14 15:05:41

Hovering around 10 stone - I SO want to be able to say I'm "nine stone something". Maybe next week! cupcake

Marelli Mon 27-Jan-14 11:13:13

Well done, Notso! For some reason I've gained half a packet of lard confused. I think it may just have been because I've hardly done anything....just mooched about coughing! However, had a good swim this morning, and will be more careful this week.

Notso Mon 27-Jan-14 07:26:46

I've lost another 1lb this week. You always hope for more don't you? But that's a couple of packets of lard gone so I'm happy smile

Good luck everyone!
