Good morning sunshine

Hope your DHs have not sabotaged your good work with chocs and Valentines meals. grin

Right I am off for my breakfast and a nice cup of tea. I have had a lie in this morning, its half term and the children for once managed to stayed in bed after 6.30.

And hopefully the wee one will have had a restful night, too, glass! I have stuck again.....maybe wavering a bit higher on the scales sad. Oh dear, sure that chocolate wafer biscuit couldn't have caused this to happen confused? Just felt I needed a wee bit of chocolate.....

I am back to Slimming World so my weigh in happens on Wednesday evening, but I thought I'd join this thread for a bit of extra motivation. Last week I reached my half stone award, so I just need to keep going. On average, I've lost a pound a week, which is fine with me.

Tegan Mon 17-Feb-14 09:17:10

Another week when I daren't go near the scales [have been eating bread all weekend as well]. But hoping to get back to going to the gym today.

Notso Mon 17-Feb-14 13:03:26

Good luck everyone smile

Good morning, back from 2 weeks in Spain and now paying the price in weight gain. Buffet meals and I made an absolute pig of myself, no self control whatsoever so it's my own fault. i.e. double helpings of bread and butter pudding and fresh cream profiteroles to die for, and I NEVER normally eat desserts. I am going to try really hard now to get to my original goal of being under 10 stone, and be 9 stone something!! Hopefully some weight will come off this coming week. It's 2.30 pm and all I have had is 4 cups of tea, a banana and am drinking water, vegetable stew for tonight, stomach rumbling as I speak!! It;s a hard life. smile

I lost a pound! Actually I had lost it by last Tuesday, found it again by Saturday so mounted the scales with trepidation this morning.
Next time I might even put both feet on the scales and let go of the bath grin

granniefinn Mon 17-Feb-14 15:33:08

I am just back from Spain to and have stepped on the scales not a good idea there water or red wine must have something in it I have jumped up to the weight I was before I went to slimming world last Jan think I might have to look out the books again and get on the trainers only problem is you need water boots here at the min even have to bath the dog every time we come in for a walk might have to get him some boots and put his ears under a hat.

Lost three pounds this week, which I'm very happy with. I'm being very strict with what I eat, but haven't done quite as much exercise as I did last week. This weather gives me no incentive to walk much (although I did get a two hour walk in on Saturday - between showers) and swimming when the weather is like this just seems perverse.

rockgran Mon 17-Feb-14 22:39:15

Yessssss! Lost a pound! On holiday this week so will probably gain a bit but it's a good startsmile.

ginny Tue 18-Feb-14 08:23:00

Down 1 1/2 lbs today. This week will be difficult as I have two meals out to cope with. I'm doing WW and my points allowance has just gone down so, need to get used to that.

GrannyK Tue 18-Feb-14 09:57:28

Bad news is that I have stayed the same weight . Good news is that Paul McKenna and I have definitely kept the eating under control , so it is probably due to the lack of exercise. Running to the car and back in this weather probably doesn't use up enough calories.. Fingers crossed it shifts down a bit this week- I do so hate being stuck when I feel I deserve to be losing it!

mrshat Tue 18-Feb-14 16:27:41

12stone 6lbs this week, no change. Really need to hit the 12 stone mark soon. Been a rough couple of weeks, in fact, been a rough start to the year but hopefully positive thinking and effort will help further loss. Keep positive everyone grin

Galen Thu 20-Feb-14 10:37:27

I'm afraid I'm going the wrong way. 14.2. Today. I must be strict with myself and try to take some exercise!

Sorry not been around much this week, the house has been full all week of DGC and a stream of their friends coming and going, its been like the Central Station in here. The baby not settling to feed with his tongue tie, but he had it snipped at the hospital yesterday so I am hoping for DD that he can get into a more settled routine instead of constantly wanting to feed for 3 to 4 hours at a time, I dont know how she hasnt given up and given him a bottle she is looking worn out and there isnt a lot anyone else can do to help.

marelli back to basics smile
vegas SW is great isnt it, doesnt seem like you are deprived of anything as long as you stick to plan, well done.
tegan are you still not able to get to the gym?
notso well done smile
caz keep at it and the holiday excess will soon disappear.
Well done soutra your weight differs at different times of the day and week so its best to stick to once a week at the same time.
grannyfinn like caz it will soon be off.
Well done grannya smile
celeb good to see you, still time to make a difference for your holidays, and its good to have something to work towards.
rock great 1lb smile
ginny well done but it can throw you a little when your intake is reduced, be careful.
grannyK & mrshat you are both the same as me but I just cant focus at the moment, think I need to try to get back to basics but I am off for a few days next Sunday up to Loch Fyne, so this week I need to knuckle down.
galen write down what you are having and dont forget the little nibbles and then try putting it into My fitness pal and you will see where the prroblem is. smile

Got to the gym today; nearly didn't go but decided I would go insane if I didn't. Strange thing is that, when I was working I seemed to find the time to go but now I'm retired time disappears. And I've been so busy finding clothes for this wedding. Doing the paleo diet next week; have just bought lots of pork chops and vegetables. Bit daft really cause I very rarely eat meat, but it's supposed to be very filling and gives you energy. The clothes I've bought don't involve losing weight to get into them but I do need to tone up in the bottom area sad which is where all the weight has gone.

glassortwo Sun 23-Feb-14 15:13:26

tegan you didnt look like there was much wrong with you at the meet in Edinburgh, you will look gorgeous in your wedding outfit.

Tegan Sun 23-Feb-14 16:16:24

glass; I'd been going to the gym for several months before December and was quite toned up; since then, with my foot hurting, first Christmas and then January and February [with horrid weather and sore foot] I've piled on the inches; as ever always round my hips and thighs. I'm so annoyed that so much effort was ruined by a few weeks of no self control. Last weekend the S.O. bought a jar of Options here that someone had left at his flat; instead of drinking one cup and enjoying it I drank it all over the course of a couple of days. Thats the sort of stupid thing I do. Lose weight and it goes off my bust and face, put it on and it goes on my bottom; I just get more and more pear shaped. And my legs really are huge for someone so small; not just my thighs but all the way down.

grannyactivist Sun 23-Feb-14 19:27:05

I haven't veered from my low calorie diet this week and yet I can tell that my weight loss has slowed right down. I'm hoping to have lost two pounds when I weigh myself tomorrow, but I fear it will be only one. Yesterday my lovely daughter in law (a brilliant cook/baker) laid on a birthday buffet for my son and I took a salad with me so that I wouldn't be tempted to indulge. The only treat I allowed myself was a strawberry that had been half dipped in white chocolate. Yum.

celebgran Tue 25-Feb-14 16:12:05

feel really pleased as managed to lose 3lb!!! can i keep it up!!
