Happy St Patricks day shamrock

Hope you have all had a good week.

Notso Mon 17-Mar-14 08:07:22

I've gone all 'healthy living' for the past week, with lots of juiced raw veg etc. etc.
I feel considerably more bouncy smile and I've lost 2lbs.

Good luck everyone!

Slowly but surely - 9 stone 12 today! I've been doing the maths and since I started the 5.2 diet I reckon that given a reduction of 3500 calories being necessary to lose a pound it is spot on. What I mean is - "eat less = weigh less". No mystery -how profound! cupcake

As I said I would I've doubled my calorie intake this week and expected to have put on about two pounds, but I've gained only four ounces. Today I shall drop back down to 600/800 calories and see what happens; I'm hoping to lose about three pounds.

Notso I've been just the opposite as my kitchen is out of bounds until the new floor is completed. Lived off junk food and takeaways and lost another 1lb. Have I discovered a new diet? hmm

But then I've been driven out into the garden as I can't bear the mess inside and done a lot of heavy digging in the garden.

GA you surely don't try to just eat 600/800 kcals every day ?

Notso Tue 18-Mar-14 08:13:46

The digging probably balanced it out Aka smile

Hurrah ! Hours of sorting out my garden have definitely lifted the gloom this week . Have got the eating back under control and although I don't seem to have actually lost much to speak of , I certainly haven't put any on and am feeling MUCH better about it all. With any luck there might be a renewed downward trend next week , if I can keep positive .

I have been off this thread for a while, having been a bit depressed about not losing weight. But today I weighed myself and I have lost four pounds in the last month. Not a huge amount, but it proves to me that the 5.2 diet works....if you let it!

rock grin
grannya great that not as much as you expected, how long do you sustain the 600/800 cals?
aka how long will you be without your kitchen, is your garden big enough to continue digging grin
grannyK I always find that getting out into the fresh air lifts my mood smile
Hello grannyeggs lovely to see you, 4lbs in a month is a good steady weight loss, its like all the plans they all work if you let them.

Well I have lost 4lb which takes me back to what I was before I fell off the wagon so I am pleased with that, but I need to focus.

Glass should get kitchen back today. Always plenty of digging to do in garden and allotment but never felt the urge to do so much until driven out of house. Every cloud and all that.

Well done you losers smile

I've got three more weeks to go on this diet and then I shall gradually increase the calories.

Still 12st 3.5lbs - quite relieved considering the Six Nations result and also St Patrick's Day - hopefully will be a pound or half lighter next week! grin

Late weighing in this week as I wanted to be able to say I had lost a pound or two am I am glad to say that I manage to do so. Keeping to fruit, veg and chicken and small portions I have lost the pound and a half I put on at my friend's last week. It's hard but I am determined to be nine stone "something!"
