daughters works pension

My daughter is a single parent for 12 years, and has worked all the time. She has worked for the same firm now for 7 years.Can anybody tell me when private firms have to start a pension fund, as I believe the government advised recently? Is this now law, or is it left to the individual firms to do themselves?

liminetta, not sure why this is under the 'Dieting' heading. Perhaps you may get some replies from people who know more if you put it under a different topic?

Or is it that pensions are getting smaller? hmm
