marelli I dont think you need to lose anything from what I have seen but you have to do what makes you happy. I know what to do but cant seem to do it!!!

And so have I, glass! I've not been eating 'wrong' things - I even (carefully) counted calories for about 3 weeks and the most I lost in all that time was 2 pounds and I just stuck. I seem fated to remain at 12 stone. I'm 5'9", so I'm apparently not overweight according to my BMI, but it never used to be so hard to get weight off.... confused

OK Glass it's not the end of the world, just get a grip. Go to bed quickly before you start hunting for more things to eat, on the premise that you've blown it and might as well be hanged for knickerbocker glory as a Twix.

Tomorrow is a new day. Deep breath. Up the stairs, glass of water, bedtime routine.... moon

Galen - grin.
I am down two lbs this week. Have been eating lots of raw veg with humous for lunch and fish or chicken and lots of veg for supper. Natural yogurt and fruit for lunch. Dieting is hard if you don't like veggies Galen. Managed to watch my daughter eat a magnum without too much envy!

We once had a sports sudent staying with us who said he was a vegetarian but didn't like vegetables. It was a difficult few days. Soon afterwards my niece and her boyfried stayed and he didn't eat onions; I realised that just about everything I'd cooked for them contained onions. I've put my scales away although I did weight myself last week and I had lost a few pounds. I'm away at the end of this week but when I return I have only 4 weeks left on my gym membership so I'm going to eat healthily and go to the gym each day. I've realised that it's the misery caused by getting on the scales that makes me overeat a lot of the time.

14-5 yesterday. Post cruise diet in action.
I've gone off meat so I'm looking for veggie recipes that don't involve vegetables as I don't like them.hmm

Cant bear to weigh myself but I know I've put on the beef - been eating like a navvy for a few weeks and clothes are tight. So today DH and I have started again using myfitnesspal.com to record our intake and calories, exercise and importantly tell us which nutrients we are getting and which we are not- they do a great breakdown and the site is free. we stick to SW principles but this keeps a better record. about 1 stone to lose I think before our late August holiday. plenty of exercise going on with x3 weekly golf and lots of walking about.
