I went to my first session today and it was wonderful. the music is great (lots of Santana, salsa and tango)and the moves are easy to learn with plenty of breaks for a drink. I was told this kind of Zumba is aimed at people of a certain age with the objectives of maintaining flexibility and balance at the same time as burning a few calories. there is also a chair based Zumba for those who cannot stand or are recovering from surgery for example. The other participants were all my age dressed in a variety of casual clothes not specific workout gear and there was much laughter and fun. Give it a go!
