Anyone ride a tricycle?

phoenix I looked them up on Amazon and the price was mind boggling. Also being practical they certainly in my house, would be very difficult to store because I do not have a garage.

Even second hand bikes were pricey and I do not think that they would be ideal for London, especially as I live in a very hilly area. Parking would also be a problem.

Hi there. This forum is interesting. I just inherited a bike from my late mother and father. I am going to give it a go but I haven't ridden a push bikes for decades. I am reasonably fit, I love to swim and I walk a couple of times a week. Any tips from riders out there, would love to hear from you. I loved riding a push bike as a child, so I think that is still with me. Its amazing really that things we loved to do in our youth often come back in later life. When we have time, the children have grown and we go back to our first loves. So to speak! Tips please.

I would love one, but they are not cheap!

There is a very friendly gent who wears a very nice hat and smokes a pipe whilst riding round the village on a trike
He has had a trike since we moved to the village over 17 years ago.
He has a very useful wire type baskets on the front and back.
Just recently his brother bought him an electric one which still requires the use of the pedals.

I agree have test ride first and try corners and roundabouts.

I fancy one too as my biking skills are getting wobbly. I like the idea of being able to park it without worrying about it falling over. I've heard that cornering can be difficult and must not be done at speed.

I've had one for a couple of years, usually ride it to allotment and back, (two miles in total,) I'm useless on a bike,but I can't manage hills. I think you should see if you can borrow or hire one before you buy. I got mine on eBay. It didn't have a basket, and the Pashley ones were a fortune, so I got a large square cat basket from the local petshop!

A friend had one, and found it difficult to steer round corners, but she is used to it now. I quite fancy one, with a wicker basket on the front.
