I have wanted to buy a dress of a long time. Now finally after losing 7st 10lbs over 2 yrs. Going from a size 32 to a 16 I have one. My daughter took me shopping and helped me choose. I started to put weight on when I was 8 and am now 61. My weight has been stable for a month. Would like to loss another 7lbs but if it takes me another year to do it that's ok with me. At the age of 59 realised its a marathon not sprint. My children are very proud of me and say their Dad would be to. Widowed nearly 16 years. Just wanted to blow my own trumpet lol.

Wow Whiff, that's brilliant, so impressed. I'm about 2 stone down since August with another 2 or 3 to go. I know how hard it is. Well done.

Well done, Whiff. I had a similar loss, taking longer though, from about 2002 to 2007! I love that I can buy clothes in normal sizes. That never gets boring. I actually don't often now as don't go out much, but it is nice to be able to. It made it easier to walk, as I am arthritic. It is important for other health stuff I have too, so keeping it down is the thing.

Maintaining is not easy. I gained a stone and half back in about 2009 after an operation but came back down and have been size 12/14 (from 28) every since. I weight in weekly at Weightwatchers. That is free if you are at goal and I can get tips and support. That is the thing keeps it off for me.

Well done Nico too. I do know how hard you two have had to work. Now keeping at it is the thing!

Well done whiff - I’m on a similar journey, went from a 12 to a 20 when I had 4 children and can’t shift it. I’m having a gastric bypass - can’t wait to buy what I like instead of anything that fits! You must feel amazing - well done.
