Since lockdown, I've found myself eating more and can't stick to the diet. Any advice?

Me and dh too HappySmiles.
But i am sure when all shops open and some sort of normality begins we will all loose excess weight by walking around the shops like we did a few months ago.
I actually didn`t realise how many shops we used to go in to just for a gander and of couse when car boots start as we walked miles and loved it.

It is SO hard isn't it.
I stop thinking about eating if I am really absorbed in something else.
Maybe a book, or family history research.... something where my brain is engaged. For me knitting /embroidery doesn't do it, but it might for you. smile

Nice joke on FB today - 'the extra hair seems to weigh an extra stone according to the scales'.

Yes, why is it? My life hasn't really changed that much so I feel it's psychological. I'm not bored but I'm obviously compensating for something.

I try to make the focus of my days something other than food.

More choc than anything ?

Me too and I can't understand why. I'm not bored, plenty to do, books to read when I am relaxing so why am I always thinking about food?

I think it's because the supermarket delivery is always on my mind. Once one order is finalised I'm thinking about the next one.

DD sent me a hamper of goodies for my birthday today. It's full of gluten free snacks, spreads, choccies etc.

Oh dear. blush

I have discovered (by trying to sort through a particular kitchen cupboard) that I have eaten over 8 litres of ice cream since lockdownshockand

Mr P doesn't eat ice cream, and as far as I'm aware, the cats cannot either open the freezer door, not remove the kids from the containers, therefore, unless we have pixies, it must be me blush

However, it is locally made, and I have been buying it from the village shop, and therefore supporting the local economy?

And that, M'Lud, is the case for the defence!

I had lots of food gifts for my birthday too. There are boxes of chocolates and biscuits just shouting "eat me!"

Yes. Some days I can't stop scoffing!

I've eaten food I would not normally eat because of not being able to buy the food I normally do.
Alcohol probably up also, working in the garden hot day just the job but not good for me.
My stomach is swollen probably due to medication I've been taking, but could be I've put on weight.
I've not been weighed.
