Havnt been well these past few days so had to miss SW last night which is annoying as I had lost some weight. So this week I have to be super careful not to gain it all back.

Sillymoo well done for going this morning. You know it makes sense.

Stayed the same this week, Ive been good but the grandchildren were here the end of half term and I finished off the Oreo’s last night….and a carrot cake muffin with custard….their, I said it 😂😂😂….not done that for ages, just shows, the urge is still just around the corner …I’m still keeping up with the couch to 5k though 3Xs a week, week 4 I think this is.

Yes girls, we are a fine bunch of losers, let it rise above your head whiff…..

Have a good week all….Soon be spring…

Whiff Sun 23-Feb-25 10:59:01

Sillymoo it's a blip we all have them . That's what's so lovely about here no judgement. My only experience of weight lose clubs was Slimming magazine and Weight watchers in the 80's always felt like a naughty school girl if I put on . So decided they weren't for me.

You will have a better week. 🤸

Whiff Sun 23-Feb-25 11:13:36

silverlining hope you are feeling better.

Shirley I do . But as you know there are those who want short cuts and not put in the hard work, at least here we put in the hard work even if we have blips we keep going.

Carrot cake muffin and custard 😋😋.
Well done staying the same .

Lost 2lb this week so pleased about that. Went to my new craft group on Wednesday and made 2 of my hybrid lemon marmalade drizzle
cake one gluten free . Glad I did as 2 couldn't have gluten . I am always careful and bake the gluten free one first and cut and pack it into bags so no cross contamination. Other cake packed in bags as well. Had a wonderful time and made to feel welcome there is a limit of 20 so already got my name down for next month. I taught someone to cross stitch. The tea and coffee didn't cost anything as they had a grant. It started as a litter picking group few years ago and they have the monthly craft group, reading group and tea and chat . Would have loved to go to the tea and chat group but have blood test and wouldn't get there in time . Hopefully might be able to make the one in April.

Have a good week everyone 😊

My weight has stayed the same for three weeks now. It is frustrating...

NanKate Sun 23-Feb-25 13:57:09

keeping quiet I know the frustration I jumped on the scales last Friday expecting a loss and zilch. 😏

I’m just hopeful for this coming week and keep reminding myself I am in trousers I haven’t worn for about 3 years and they are loose round the waist.

Onward and downward girls. 👎

silverlining48 Sun 23-Feb-25 14:28:02

Thanks Whiff, I am feeling quite a lot better today. Am still on track to have a loss when I go to SW at the End of the week.

Shirleyw Mon 24-Feb-25 21:28:10

That sounds a nice little craft group whiff…and how thoughtful making 2 types of cake, it’s surprising the amount of people who do need to eat gluten free food….wish I lived near, would love a slice of lemon marmalade drizzle 😋….and well done for losing 2lbs.

Nice to have the lighter mornings, I can get my run in nice and early now. Am tracking my calories again, I haven’t been counting them recently, I log them on my fitness pal. Which syncs on another app I use .

Have a good week all.

Hi everyone, Lovely to catch up with all your posts.
I had a horrible 3 weeks with an IBS flare up and felt too rotten to stick to healthy eating. However, thanks to a friend who recommended Deglycerated Licorice Tablets (DGL) which have actually worked, I am better and motivated to shift the flab again especially as I plan to visit Blighty in the summer and want to look slimmer.
Bang on 140lbs today. Have a good week Fruits.

keepingquiet Tue 25-Feb-25 07:38:47

Thanks Nankate- getting back in to my old trousers is one of my aims- I haven't even bothered trying to see if they fit again, it is so de-moralising.

I know exactly what I need to do, and that's cut out the bread and cakes but I've been slipping back into old ways. I have a food delivery order coming tomorrow- so as we say, onwards and downwards lol. I want to be a loser!!

Whiff Tue 25-Feb-25 11:59:04

I look on staying the same weight for a few weeks as an achievement as it means I am taking in enough cals to keep my body working . But it's as annoying as hell especially if you have been good 😡.

CocoPops hope when you visit you bring good weather with you . Sorry your IBS has been so bad but glad you have found something to help you .

Shirley if I know people can't have certain foods I make things so they can still have a slice of cake or biscuits whichever I make . By making cake for my craft group means I can have a slice and just add it to cal count and not eat the whole cake or batch of biscuits. Plus I like to give .

Been to my move it or lose it class this morning . Lost my balance but luckily landed on the chair and not the floor . But I love going . Sit fit yesterday . Love both classes because do different exercises in each one so exercise not only my body but my mind and use different equipment.

Many years ago with my husband we thought about joining a gym the trainer took one look at the 19st me and said nothing you can use . Mind you my husband would laugh his socks off me loving exercise. But it keeps my limbs working and my mind . And like everyone in each group. And it's only £5 each class.

Having my classes and all of you makes the battle of the bulge fun . 🤸😊

Went for WI at Slimming World this morning and lost the 1.5 I'd put on on last Friday's weigh in. 6 above target so 3 outside target range. I only had one small glass of wine over the weekend, that is probably the answer!

silverlining48 Tue 25-Feb-25 14:51:46

Well done sillymoo. I hope to do similar n Thursday evening.

silverlining48 Tue 25-Feb-25 14:52:48

Whiff keep it up, you have done so well.

Sillymoo Thu 27-Feb-25 08:19:45

Good luck today @silverlining. I'm off to linedancing this morning to burn a few calories, and it's fun too!

NanKate Thu 27-Feb-25 22:17:25

It’s good to have so many of us posting our ups/downs/staying the same. It’s life.

After staying the same last week I have lost one pound this week. Hurray. 😀

keepingquiet Fri 28-Feb-25 08:20:51

Well done Nankate- such a good loser lol!

silverlining48 Fri 28-Feb-25 18:53:21

I lost another 1.5 last night , making total of 5 lbs in 3 weeks.
Ridiculously pleased. Another 2 and it’s half a stone….

Shirleyw Sat 01-Mar-25 04:13:58

Well done * silverlining*…..that’s great😀

keepingquiet Sat 01-Mar-25 08:05:05

Brilliant SL43! Well done!

silverlining48 Sat 01-Mar-25 20:54:47

Thankyou. Well done Nan Kate.
Good luck to all of us this week.

Whiff Sun 02-Mar-25 12:52:42

NanKate glad you lost 1lb but the main thing is never giving up . And everyone here isn't a quitter or looking for fast fixes . We know it takes hard work and never giving up.

Silverlining hope you feel great about yourself. Fingers crossed you reach your half stone next week . But we all know we have ups and downs and even when we are being good out body works against us 😱. Bet you have lost inches.

Well lost one and quarter pound this week that's a loss 2 weeks running . Just need to kept it up . Booked my train tickets for my May holiday yesterday and travel assistance. Rooms been booked since October . As I will be staying in Premier inn and booked the meal deal breakfast and 2 course dinner . I normally have a good breakfast and go without lunch or just have something light .

No sit fit tomorrow as instructor's husband having an operation. But having having blood test and going out exploring to a place I haven't been before via the train . My pass covers free local bus and trains . Everyone aged 60 gets one . Saved me a fortune over the years since I moved here.

Move it or lose it Tuesday. Hopefully won't lose my balance this week but at least landed on the chair and not the floor 🤦.

Have a good week fruits 😀

keepingquiet Sun 02-Mar-25 15:25:56

Sounds as if you are making some good plans Whiff- and losing too! I like the beds in Premier Inns- really comfy!

Drumroll please... I lost one pound!! After my three week plateau I am so pleased. As Whiff says, we just have to keep going.

Lost about 2.5 inches from my waist too altogether- I'm almost at my target. Slow and steady...

Shirleyw Sun 02-Mar-25 22:16:05

Well done whiff on your loss. Good you booked up for may bank holiday. I like premier inns too, very comfy.

Lost 1 and a half this week.

Looking at weather map will be chilly but sunny, nice it’s getting lighter in the mornings and longer light hours .

Allsorts Mon 03-Mar-25 08:08:01

Well done Whiff on your weight loss. I put on so much weight qI felt ashamed to post. However, got on the scales and in the last qqqqfortnight I have lost 4 lbs. this time I am my one day a week when I eat what I want, the other 6 days, I cut out bread, biscuits, puddings and anything with sugar in and must admit I feel better for it. I must lose a total of another 16 lbs and know it might only be a pound a week, I keep thinking I will be there in four months so who knows I might be in a swimsuit so I can go swimming in the summer .
