Package arrived today. We're out this evening so I'll inject in the morning.
Happy to chat to anyone else on this journey
My BMI is 31, I'm 5ft 3 with mobility/joint problems waiting for knee replacement. Really need to reduce weight and get fit again.

10 years ago I lost 2.5 stone on slimming world but I had no health problems then, I wasn't on HRT and I could walk for miles. I worked in childcare so was physically active.

This thread is for others on WLI who want to share experiences

It's NOT for anyone wishing to criticise ( I've heard it all lol). I don't need to hear that if I eat less and move more I'll lose weight. I'm not an idiot, just a 64 year old with health issues struggling

So anyone looking to join thread with positive views on WLI I look forward to hearing from you

There already 2 threads about this. Best ask on one of them

Hi are you still taking Mounjaro ? How have you found it . I’m a similar age and height and 11stone 7 . Have high blood pressure so would like to loose weight to reduce it .

I've steadily lost 4 stone on Mounjaro, now eating smaller portions and taking regular exercise.

Not a magic bullet on its own or suitable for everyone but it worked wonders for me.

I will be switching to Wegovy given recent Mounjaro price hike but sticking with Medexpress.co.uk who have been brilliant and now offered to help me switch.

Lots of discount codes have disappeared but AW437 still works when buying from MedExpress to get £40 quid off.

There are bigger discount codes for other pharmacies but their RRPs are usually much higher so ends up not as good or even worse try to push you into a monthly subscription service.

PM any questions and I'll be happy to share my personal experiences.

Hi everyone
I had some messages so sharing an update...

Switch to Wegovy went perfectly - Medexpress clinician explained everything and checked in with me twice to make sure all was good.

The use of discount code AW437 meant I got it £40 cheaper than full price 👍

I have a close relative using Mounjaro. Her weight loss has been fairly rapid . She says it just cuts out all the noise about food in her head so she eats smaller portions. It’s working well for her and no side effects.

Until you stop using them !!!

I wonder are you speaking from first-hand experience BlueBelle?

If anyone on here wants some support and helpful advice on using weight loss drugs such as Mounjaro and Wegovy, head across to Mumsnet as there’s tons of threads on there.

There’s also a new starters group every month you can join.

Gransnet seems to be filled with mainly naysayers and doom mongers. 😂😂
