Silly me!
Oh dear, I thought I might just grasp the nettle and PM OP to ask what the thread title actually means but she has opted not to receive PM s so I am none the wiser.
Doodledog I didn't read all the AI thread and just posted a couple of things on there .
Keep your coat on the rack. Clever you to showing your new skill. 👏
I was joking really, Whiff. I said on the AI thread that I would use it now I know how, so I was showing off my new-found knowledge.
I'll get my coat. . . .
Doodledog don't know why it's on the diet and exercise forum . As all those explanations have nothing to do with diet or exercise.
But thank you for doing the research . But still no clue what it's about . 🤷
As per the AI thread, I asked Chat GPT about 'cracking z' and this is what it said. (there'll be no stopping me now
)
"Cracking Z" could refer to a few different things depending on the context, but it's not a widely recognized term on its own. Here are a few possibilities:
1. "Cracking Z" as a term in cybersecurity/hacking
It might be a nickname or alias for a person or group involved in cracking software or systems.
Could refer to cracking software with the "Z" possibly indicating a specific tool, technique, or even a version (e.g., Cracking Tool Z).
Not a standard or known term in mainstream cybersecurity or reverse engineering.
2. "Cracking Z" as a title
It might be the title of a show, book, video game, or article.
Possibly fan-created content related to hacking, puzzles, or tech themes.
3. Misunderstanding or typo
You might mean:
"Cracking ZIP files" – bypassing encryption or password protection.
"Cracking Z-code" – related to classic text-based interactive fiction (Infocom games).
"Crackz" – stylized form sometimes used on warez/cracking websites.
Could you clarify where you saw or heard "Cracking Z"? That would help give a more accurate explanation
LauraN I surprisingly enjoy just turning the wand up and down to watch the glittery bits float by, very relaxing.
It reminds me I once had a class of mostly Asian women who wanted to have a lunchtime party and asked me to ‘dress up a bit’. So I wore my brightest top and trousers and a flashy cheap necklace. I looked a right Wally at the petrol station that morning. 😳
The students provided fab food. Happy times. 🥳🎈
petra I have no idea what z stands for. I do wish when people start a thread they explain as there have been some weird titles.
When did buying presents for teachers become a thing and why? Yes we need good teachers and unfortunately there is no deterrent for bad behaviour from pupils I don't mean the cane. But unreasonable parents who won't accept their little darlings are bullies and unruly .
I had hoped that sort of behaviour had died out in the 80's . But we have parents bullying teachers . Teachers don't need cake but respect and parents doing their part in teaching there children. They can start by teaching them good manners .
My parents taught my brother and me to read and write before we school . I did the same with mine and my grandsons have been taught as well.
As parents we have a duty to bring our children up with good values which they pass on to their's.
And let children be children and use their imagination. It's saddens me on a bus and see a parent give a young child a tablet to watch something while they are on the phone talking. Instead of talking to their child.
But at least I do see some who explains what they are seeing on the journey and the child has a cuddly toy, blanky ,car or doll.
I know I went off topic. And I was over 19st for decades but started a diet or as NanKate on the pears thread calls it eating less for life in 2017 took years but lost 7st.
How about fast food companies stop having things for ridiculously cheap prices. And people cook from scratch. If you have a busy life style batch good and freeze healthy meals it's a lot cheaper than buying ready meals which have that many additives to make then last longer but also replace what the food is supposed to taste and the texture of some of these meals are awful . Why are some foods so brightly coloured . It's not what real food looks like.
I’m giving the excuse of it being very hot, but, could someone tell me what the z means in the thread heading.
Ami going to feel stupid 🤷♀️
Oh sorry never heard of a shop called Booths ….read it wrong
Do you use your wand to banish the calories from your cake NanKate?
Let’s face it, the teacher’s hardly going to eat it all themselves! Disappointed none of my students ever bought me cake!!
I was once given a lovely see through wand with coloured sparkly bits by an adult student in my class. I still use it.
OP did say as a Thank gift to a teacher at the end of the year.
So that’s a “special” treat.
I see nothing wrong with that so long as they a bought as an occasional treat not a regular food item.

Does every gift or “treat” have to pass the “healthy” test?
What’s next? Banning birthday cakes?
Is the teacher in question obese?
Frankly any advertising email is of a general nature anyway, you need to lighten up! 🍰🎂🧁
Agreed. The joy police are beyond tedious. An ‘own goal’ indeed 🙄
BlueBelle
Boots sell cakes ???
Booths, not Boots, I think.

Cracking Down On The Obesity Problem (Again!)
If the government are threatening to get tough with supermarkets, as reported yesterday, then maybe they should start with Booths. I received an email from them encouraging me to buy a gift-wrapped selection of cakes as a 'treat' for my favourite teacher as a Thank You as it's coming up to the school holidays.
There was a choice of three selections and nothing seemed remotely healthy.
Something of an own goal for Booths.
