Has anyone been to these classes, please?
I have heart disease but don't qualify on the NHS because it's not "bad" enough and I haven't had a heart attack (yet).

I could go to private classes but I think a set of 3 costs over £1,000.

I just wondered what activities people do in these classes and how strenuous they are

Have a look online Ramblingrose, the British Heart Foundation have a section on Cardio Rehabilitation exercises, and they’re FREE!

I went to one after my NSTEMI, but did not find it helpful. Firstly getting there involved me in a long hassle-full drive, and finding somewhere to park. Secondly, everything we did I could simply have done at home. Thirdly the latter half of the session was a sitting down and being talked at, and the topic was resuming sexual relations after a heart episode and we were being told how important it was in our intimate relationships - having not long lost my OH this did not feel remotely helpful!

I recognised that it was all well-intentioned, but it definitely was not for me.

Ramblingrose if you go on BHF website and join the forum you will get plenty of help and advice from other heart patients. I know I have but under a different username . People are very open about what they have had done , medication and it's effects . The Hearties as one of the posters called us have real life experience and can put your mind at rest and you can ask anything you like and you will be answered. There have been many who have been frightened what had happened to them so we all try to help and had positive feedback back.

Please go there. If you need to talk to a professional the BHF nurses are there to take your phone call.
