Yesterday I took the bus into town-free with my bus pass. Had a little wander around and a look in the bookstores (free), collected a cup of coffee from Waitrose (free with my card) sat in an open square and read the free newspaper I picked up at the bus station, then went to a the local art gallery-free admission. In September Heritage open Days will open many venues around the country for free www.heritageopendays.org.uk/
There may be no such thing as a free lunch but there is lots of free stuff about. Any suggestions for something I have missed out on?

Good post trisher. Life can be enriching without spending a fortune. Thanks for the link, I shall bookmark that smile

One more I can think of: A trip to the library to borrow some books free.

Hubby and I walk the dog and come back with Apple's,plums, blackberry, and today five walnuts ... We never go out without a bag. Mushrooms next, though not to keen on that.
