My daughter is putting on a virtual graduation “party” for my granddaughter. Just wondered if it’s normal to give her a gift for the occasion??

I would have thought you would be giving her a gift to congratulate her for graduating, not because she was having a party.

I think a gift would be lovely - something for her to remember - I gave my daughter earings on hers.

Well then yes, she would really appreciate a gift, preferably a lasting one like jewellery as Teetime suggests.
It would be lovely to reward her hard work.

Yes, of course a gift. DD still wears the pearl ear studs which she chose as her graduation gift 23 years ago!
