What has been the most important school subject in your adult life?

English and Typing

History and English

English.

Home Economics I use things I learned every day. At age 15 we were given a budget and ran a house for a week, shopping, cooking, teachers to lunch , child care (either a younger relative or a teacher’s child) great experience, can you imagine it happening now?!. Biology both nature studies and Human biology.

Art and Literature

English language and maths for work.

English literature because it introduced me to great books and the theatre.

History because it taught me think about why people acted as they did.

None, I learnt to read at a very early age thankfully as books were my escape from abusive parents.

I hated school but loved my friendships, that what I take from school, friendship.

Music - the little we got ....... It has been the backbone of my whole life.

English and Latin.

Economic & Public affairs.
I did it for O level instead of Latin (which the careers person said, wrongly, I needed for my prospective course at Uni) but I wanted to be with my friends & so I took EPA.
Taught me to be open -minded, gave me a grounding in how monarchy, parliament, the justice system all link together & also taught me a lot that's been helpful with personal finances.
Like quite a few of us, I could read a little when I started school, & if I hadn't been formally taught maths, I would've signed up to learn it, ,but EPA was a wild card & a real help.

English and Maths , without either it life could be difficult . Other subjects would be for interest but not a necessity for me .

German for paying my bills. History because it's my passion and taught me critical thinking. Sixth form General Studies because it opened my eyes to so much beyond the traditional curriculum.

English and RE.

All of it surely

English and RE. I loved PE all the sports especially hockey and athletics

None. I have been a SAHM but 'domestic science' did not equip me for anything apart from how lay a table with all the cutlery pointing in the same direction.
