I have no opinion on the Beckhams but feel for their estrangement from their son. The wedding today of Gordon ramsey’s daughter is another one. The grooms mother was not invited to the wedding. She said’i feel as though they have ripped my heart out’. I know how she feels

Crikey .....and now Piers Morgan is saying pretty much the same as the last YouTube video I saw about Prince Harry (or, to be more accurate, his wife). I actually feel sorry for Harry now and I guess it explains why security has been approved for him if (when.....) he moves back to Britain.

I doubt he'll be remarrying after this saga is over.....and he's divorced.

Piers Morgan makes my skin crawl. I get the distinct impression he hates women in general. Just another loud mouth talking head.

Why engage a solicitor?

Perhaps they are refusing to cease contact ? Continuing to try and force contact after being asked not to can amount to harassment

Seems likely.

Wow, people can be very judgmental about other people's lives, when they know nothing about them! How do people know that any of the news reports are true?! Maybe this poor family should just be left alone to sort their issues without people picking over every morsel of gossip...

Gossip is their life blood. If nobody is talking about them ( good or bad) tgey are finished.

I’m not estranged, but I feel so sorry for any parent finding themselves in this situation and not knowing or understanding why.

It must be doubly awful have this played out in public!

It’s about like the ever more tedious royals and their family squabbles. It might be easier if they all stopped briefing against each other, publicly. 🙄

Well - I'm watching the latest saga on that front with noticeable interest right now and no briefing against each other there.....

I guess soap operas have nothing on some peoples lives...

Fallingstar Fri 09-Jan-26 17:12:48

What has happened with the Beckhams and Harry and Meghan just goes to show that families are the same no matter who they are, it’s just that their problems are played out in the media.
No such thing as the perfect life no matter how much money or fame people have.

They are their own media, who do you think controls those social media accounts? they do! They have an army of publicists behind them, they curate and control all that reaches the public domain and how that's presented from their side of the fence. The entire family has been making umpteen digs at each other alluding to the spat via what they post themselves, they don't have to do that do they? if they wanted to keep an element of privacy they would. They expect it to reach the papers, whole articles are devoted to all this nonsense. It's not just the tabloids either, The Ramsay/Peaty wedding was all over the Sunday Times last week and the Beckham spat has reached their pages too. Possibly it resonates with the public because as we know these sorts of family divisions are not uncommon.

stillawipp Fri 09-Jan-26 16:33:41

The media have, yes, but they themselves have made no public statements or put anything on Instagram etc, as far as I know…

stillawipp Fri 09-Jan-26 16:32:16

Sorry, where have they made the spat public?

TerriBull Fri 09-Jan-26 16:24:38

"Know nothing about them" that's a laugh, "the poor family" in question have made this spat about as public as it could possibly be and have been instagramming every aspect of their children's lives since birth. I agree with sodapop, get off Social Media, stop broadcasting every new development as far as family divisions are concerned and sort it out privately. Maybe the lack of privacy, given they control their own output, is the root of the problem. There are plenty of high profile people who separate their private family life from their professional showbiz existence when they're promoting a film, recording etc.

sodapop Fri 09-Jan-26 16:08:34

In that case they should stop broadcasting their silly petty feuds on social media stillawipp

News today saying that Brooklyn has engaged a solicitor to ensure his parents never contact him. What on earth would make a loved child do that? None of us are perfect, does he think he is? I imagine the Beckhams must be devastated. It upset me reading that, I am not a follower of them as I am a very private person but no one deserves that unless they are abusers.

I feel sorry for the Beckhams Snr.

No, we don't know what went on but they did always seem to be a loving family who adored their children.

Then along comes a daughter-in-law. How many cases do we read of where this happens?
Brooklyn told the world loud and clear in 2025 that it was him and wife Nicola against the world.

As we never lived with or had relationships with any of these people, best to always acknowledge we simply cannot know the full truth. Family is complicated. The media, both social and traditional, often gives the public the impression that we know more than we do. Hopefully, barring anything truly horrific that we don’t know about, the families can work on their issues out of the limelight.

Apparantly, Ramseys wife, Tana, is trying to broker a peace deal.

She likes peace and family.

Not sure this will work. 🤷‍♀️

Allsorts Wed 31-Dec-25 18:49:29

I wouldn't watch Ramsey with his foul mouth and bullying should not have been tolerated by BBC.
Beckhams their family has had no privacy and no choice.

Allira Wed 31-Dec-25 15:59:31

Also wasn’t Gordon from a council flat?
And needed to wash his mouth out with soap.

But they forget their humble beginnings when they get their heads turned by fame and fortune.

JaneJudge Wed 31-Dec-25 15:37:41

Didn’t the Beckhams go to the wedding of Peaty and Ramsey?

I thought they may not have wanted the families on display as it has all been sold to Hello magazine

Well, I agree.

Why Brooklyn Beckham and his wife need to keep waffling on, via social media, I don’t know.

Why Adam Peaty and Ramsey’s daughter need to keep scoring points, again through social media, I don’t know.

I suppose Gen X etc are the Insta generation. 🙄🙄🙄

The Beckhams other children and Peaty’s family have also posted on social media and spoken to traditional media. As I said, dysfunction all around.

Yes, private family stuff best kept off of anything public

However, it should be said that Peaty’s mother has not taken a penny for interviews, and doesn’t worry about Insta etc followers. 👍

Perhaps Peaty and Beckham Jnr should think back and ponder at the thought that they would not be anybody anyone would be interested in, without their parents input and influence. 🤷‍♀️

But, I don’t suppose they will with Gen X entitlement syndrome. 🙄
