Too Old for Selfies?

I'm not saying my selfies were brilliant, and subsequent ones were considerably worse, but I defend my right to take them! Am trying to upload my selfie taken in Blue Peter Studio on visit to Media City, though not sure having any success. Apparently it's the wrong file type. What would be the right kind?

I rarely bother with selfies myself, but DD always insists on some of her and me together when we are on holiday (as we are now actually) The things that put me off are my chin and my wrinkles.

Yes. I am too old to do it quite honestly.

I always take a selfie or two when I've had my hair cut so that I can look back and decide if I really liked it or not! They're always ghastly!

I love this!!!

(I look scary in selfies but no, never too old. DGD should be impressed with your tech know-how)

I have taken selfies, but look awful in them. I tried the model's trick of pressing my tongue to the roof of my mouth to lift the neck, but there are wrinkles galore!

I think that there used to be a sort of idea that every generation thought that they had invented "sex and drugs an rock and roll" (Sorry Ian) Perhapd the selfie is the new.................

Re my comment up there, I do smile at the memory of a young friend being asked to look after her Uncles pot plants while he was away.......wink

I'm sure she was secretly impressed anno grin
You know you're old when your 11-month old DGS stares intently at your neck for several seconds and then amuses himself by plucking at the folds of crepe-y skin shock

Ah, well, young people think that anyone over thirty is past it, so it's not surprising, good to remind them though, that we can do anything we like!

Its just the modern version of all those daft pics we used to take whenever we saw a photo booth at a train or bus station.

Ah.....memories.....where are you now Sue Harris?

I was flabbergasted at the weekend! I just happened to mention having taken a selfie and my 12-year-old GD gasped and blurted out, 'Old people don't take selfies! They're for young people.' Her parents and I couldn't stop laughing - she was so indignant! Anyway, she just has to put up with the notion that grannies are indeed capable of taking selfies - and even possess smart phones with which to take them. shock
