BALSAMIC FIG DRESSING RECIPE

Hi all

Last year I bought a bottle of Balsamic Fig Dressing and absolutely loved it. I then started to buy it in Morrisons and my salads were delicious. Later in the year Morrisons withdrew this dressing and didn't replace it. I have been looking for it in all the local shops and when I visit other towns but haven't been able to find any.

I have now bought some figs and I have some Modena balsamic vinegar and have looked on the net for a recipe but haven't found one I'm happy with.

Nothing else comes near to the delicious taste. it's especially good with goats cheese.

Does anyone have a tried and tested Balsamic & Fig Dressing receipe please.

No, but you're making my mouth water! I'll look out for one

Hi Soupy

I came across this too on the web, there are a few on-line. I think I will have to amalgamate them and do my own version if no-one has a tried and tested recipe. Thank you for looking.

Hi Mischief - I have never tried fig balsamic vinegar but it sounds delicious. I have saved the recipe to try sometime (along with a million other untried delicious things)

What I have bought is a bottle of fruits-of-the-forest balsamic vinegar, which is wonderful over icecream.

Well I've made it and it's sitting in the fridge. I'll let you know what it tastes like when I drizzle it over my salad lunch for work tomorrow.

Fingers crossedsmile

Just in case anyone is interested.

The fig balsamic dressing turned out quite nice but I made the mistake of putting honey in it (suggested in an online recipe) but I think I'll leave that out next time.

Quite pleased on the whole.

Thanks mischief. I'll remember that when I get round to making it (when I see some nice ripe figs)
