Tried it last year but didn't like it (there aren't many things I don't like )Found it too sickly.Don't like waste so ended up using it to sweeten porridge.Just about bearable.

Me neither....hmm

Sounds horrible but it's the sort of thing DH would love and can't eat so I won't be buying any.

I love it on Digestive biccies. I also add icing sugar to it and use it as a filling for chocolate cake. grin. However it can't be a popular choice because our local Home and bargain shop has been selling it for only 9p a tub.

Back in the days when I was working, the Hummingbird Bakery was one of my clients (the London dwellers may have heard of them). They are famous for cupcakes, and when we were given a guided tour of the kichens, all of what they refer to as the "frosting" was coloured cream cheese. We were also given free samples to take home, and I have to say that the ones that I chose were delicious!

It's not helping with my diet probably....it took me a while to try it, but now I love it!

glassortwo Sat 05-Jan-13 22:57:38

mmm on digestive biscuits.

Ana Sat 05-Jan-13 22:59:42

Probably replaces the sugar and fat taken out of Digestives to make them more 'healthy' glass! grin

I found it a bit weird and the DGC did not like it either! Won't buy again! hmm

glassortwo Sat 05-Jan-13 23:05:24

grin

I can only eat one sad anymore and I would be sick!!!

Ana Sat 05-Jan-13 23:07:00

One packet? confused

glassortwo Sat 05-Jan-13 23:09:14

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Ana Sat 05-Jan-13 23:10:04

wink

Sook Sat 05-Jan-13 23:17:27

Isn't the Chocolate Philly lower in fat? (I'm too lazy to go down stairs and check the packets).

I cannot see the point at all! I love dark chocolate. I like a tasty cheese but mixing the two sounds a total waste of both, what a daft idea.

phoenix, I have the Hummingbird cookery book and make the cream cheese frosting quite often. There is also a recipe for regular frosting in the book.

It is lovely and you don't need much. Whole family like it and we take it abroad for the extended family. Works on its own as a cake topping too.

Fontana Sun 06-Jan-13 14:17:18

I'm defo getting it again and yes Sook it is lower in calories too!!!!!

Fontana Sun 06-Jan-13 14:18:14

I agree Movedalot, I wish I had tried it before, but I was initially put off by the cheese and choc combo...x

Sook Sun 06-Jan-13 14:34:13

Fontana grin I've just made a chocolate cake no prizes for guessing what the filling is.

feetlebaum Sun 06-Jan-13 18:30:49

A cake-topping - and there's more! It brings up your cooker a treat, and stops car windows frosting up. It also acts as an abortifacient, and will provide cheap car insurance... try it for waxing parquet flooring...

Cheese and chocolate - isn't that a recipe for migraine?

Love it, and it has helped yes helped with my diet , like it on the little biscuits you get for cheese, delicious, if I feel like snacking I just have one of them and it takes the hunger pangs away. Didn't think I would like it when first heard about it, but now I'd be heartbroken if they stopped it. I like Sooks idea of a chocolate cake, will have to try that. Think I'm in danger of becoming an addict for it..lol. suppose it could be worse.wink
