I read that cinnamon is very good for your health, so I bought a little jar of it in powder form today. The trouble is, I tried a little on my tongue and I really don't like the flavour, so most of the recipes on- line would be no use to me. I am wondering if I could add it to my soups and stews without getting to much of the flavour.

I posted on my other thread about being adventurous with food, that I made a delicious meal today with chicken thighs marinated in olive oil, cinnamon, ginger and garlic. I cooked them in the oven on a bed of potatoes, onions, carrots and cauliflower. I also put a teaspoonful of cinnamon in my porridge this morning.
I wouldn't like the sugar/cinnamon idea because I really dislike anything sweet, but I will certainly be using more spices in future. I hadn't realised how bland my food was.

Sprinkle a little cinnamon over scrambled eggs on crumbly brown bread.

Ah, something savoury, I will try that.

Geatnan, I have just the right recipe for you. Something Moroccan!

I look forward to reading it, anno. Might have to wait until you are here to cook it for me! Is it vegetarian?

Had to make a smoothie with cinnamon in after reading this thread.

Yes, of course it's veggie and it's also from the Weightwatchers' veggie cookbook. I'll see if I can scan it.

Cinnamon is good in moussaka. Just a hint, don't overdo it.
