I went into Tesco's recently, whilst visiting friends (my nearest Tesco is miles away) and found an assistant removing fresh produce from the shelves. Nothing unusual in that you may think, a good shop will remove things close to their sell by date and reduce them. But - she was leaving only those items that had that day's sell by date, and at full price too. She removed anything that had a longer life left. I'm sure most people don't shop every day, I can't be the only person to want my fresh goods to last at least for a few days....
I won't be going back in a hurry.
ps It wasn't just an odd line or two - it was rows ans rows of shelves
Should we pay kids to go to school?
