I feel sick now!

Well, they are done- just 2 dozen for now- and will make more on Christmas eve to welcome DD2 arriving from Market Harborough.
Had enough left over to make one of our favourites when we were little- sugar tart- just pastry with dobs of butter and sugar- GC love that.

We had 2 huge bramley apple trees at our old house in Leics Anno- and oh do I miss them. It is now a nursery and languages school, and it is named after them.

Seems that is going to be the way here too, SIL decided he just wants a quiet day, quite hurt as i really do a lot for them, and as i am disabled sometimes it isn't easy.
Going to see if the invitation to the Manse is still open when i go to Church tonight.
I will offer a Chocolate Marquise for dessert, might help.
Asked DD if i had done something to offend SIL as he has been moody with me for a while, she says just bad year at work,,,,, and he is French!!!!!

Just finished making 3 dozen mince pies and 3 doz sausage rolls + iced and marzipanned Christmas cake. Nearly all presents packed and labelled and cards done and away. Main shopping done. Now waiting for family to arrive Christmas Eve afternoon for four days State Visit. Used to do all this without blinking in the old days when working right up to Christmas Eve and back after Boxing Day. Not any more, its a big effort. Tempted to clear off to a hotel or something next year. But to all those of you who are on your own this year and don't want to be , we're thinking of you and hope that perhaps a bit of seasonal sparkle will settle upon you and lift your spirits. To those of you who are alone and prefer to be that way, at least you're happy!

Watch out, felice, for vacancies in those genteel lady's magazines for spankers, spankees, and spanking control officers. Crikey Papaoscar, that puts me to shame ..... Have just been Skypeing DS, DIL and DGS (16 months old ), they all arrive Christmas Eve, can't wait! First batch of mince pies -scoffed- eaten by DH in 2 days ....'because there's nothing else to eat, you keep saying 'that's for Christmas'....'

I find walking round a supermarket is a great hunger killer. I find all that food piled up is so overwhelming that the sight of it is enough to kill any desire to eat any of it.
